Just found your channel. New subscriber. Love the content, &can't wait to get a new trap line started in Montana. Washington state makes it difficult to trap anymore.
@backcountry_beast_adventures Жыл бұрын
That is awesome. What would you be trapping in Montana?
@eddybear771 Жыл бұрын
@@backcountry_beast_adventures my main focus is varmint, from squirrels, mink, marten, etc, but I'm also gonna be targeting wolves, & of course coyote. I certified for wolf trapping in Montana years ago, but plans changed, as they of often do, but it's soon to happen. I need to refresh myself with Montana laws however, so I don't git in trouble, & maybe add a couple species that aren't available or legal in Washington.
@backcountry_beast_adventures Жыл бұрын
@@eddybear771 that is great! The wolves and coyotes need to get in check. Good luck out there. 🍻
@eddybear771 Жыл бұрын
@@backcountry_beast_adventures prime example of location differences. Washington wolves are protected. Montana wolves have no more limits that I'm aware of. Never trapped linx. I know they're protected here though. Never trapped Bobcat, but I've harvested a couple that came in while calling bear.
@backcountry_beast_adventures Жыл бұрын
@eddybear771 here we can trap as many wolves as you can during the trapping season with no extra license or anything. Me are on a mission to get as many as possible

You men killed it this trip. That wolf had to be high 90’s if not 100lbs. The abundance of predators you get to trap is awesome. You going for Marten or Fisher? Great job on video. Murray your kicking ass. God bless

Yes we take it pretty seriously and think that we are making a difference. The forest needs wolves but unchecked they are very destructive.
