***** Yes, a lot of present-day electro house s trash. *Really* trash. But not all of it. In my opinion, Dyro's tracks sound dope and creative compared to what's out there. They are more creative than the stuff by Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, etc. all combined.

***** I really wish house (or EDM in general) didn't go to shit. I got into progressive, electro house, trance, and "dubstep" (brostep) thanks to the popularity boom that started in 2009-ish. I began thinking to myself, "I wish this was popular and on the radio. People deserve to know how good it is." And then my wish came true. Except that I ended up leaving dubstep and electro house because they were turning into utter crap. Now deep house and downtempo house have been kinda messed up, too, and hardstyle's getting a lot of exposure to the "EDM" crowd.

Because now people are calling mainstream house with cheesy melodies "progressive house." Artists and labels who made progressive in the past have seemed to ditch the original genre's sound (at least the ones I know).

***** I'm really glad someone else feels the same! I don't mind the "crazy" feeling of modern dance music (I personally like it), but I do appreciate the relaxing aspect of the classic trance I listen to. I feel like the big room style had so much potential, but it relies so much on cheesy melodies, annoying buildups, and distorted bassdrums that it's been completely ruined. And it barely even sounds like house! Happily, trance has kept some of its cool, and hardcore (which I've been into for a couple of years) is staying strong.
