That's exactly what I was thinking--the real tragedy of this woman's life was that she was a rich man's daughter. There is always a beauty standard, If you don't look like that.... Christina had strong face with big expressive eyes, her look was very different vibe, her strong ethnic face has a wild beauty about it that so many people did not see, perhaps because the pain of her soul was so stark in those eyes. I gaze at her photo and it is those eyes that captivate, draw you in to a shimmer of contradictions. Than again , we women are whole lot of delightful contradictions, possiblities and mischief. Her beauty was unique, and it is sad that she never understood her value as a person in her own right. But that is hard to come by when two parents are at a point they hate each other, never around much and a mother's rejection is devastating to a Child's sense of self. In her eyes, she was of little value, her mother thought her ugly, her father may have given Christina things , but what she wanted was what every child needs- unconditional love, what she got was absent but manipulative man who's priorities were making money and women not the welfare of his marriage or children. Her insecurities and need for love lead her down paths that in the end, except for her daughter- left her hollow, more insecure and bitter. It is so sad, I hope her daughter has a better life.

What a sad and tragic life Christina Onassis had! Having her only sibling die very young. her mother die.quite young, and her father die at 69 must have had a devestating affect on her. Even her own marriages didn't work out. All she had left was her daughter. In her case, money and fame certainly didn't bring her any happiness. Her daughter has even said that the Onassis money was nothing but a curse that she wished she could get rid of, yet Athina has a very good life because of that money. (Sadly, she too had to divorce her husband due to infidelity.) Christina, though, was a force to be reckoned with!! After her father died she ran the Onassis business affairs/interests like a PRO. @Missditabomb4 жыл бұрын
@Bruno56: Actually, I am currently reading, "JFK: Reckless Youth", by Nigel Hamilton. It is an 800 page book, (that is exhaustively researched and sourced), about JFK and his life up to his time in Congress at age 29. JFK was very unwell all of his life. He had Addison's Disease, a spine that was literally crumbling, and a poor immune system. He came close to death on many occasions. He probably would not have survived a second term as President, as he was so ill and their was very little treatment available for Addison's disease throughout his life. (They didn't even know what he had for the first 20 years, although a doctor did suspect "something glandular".) Throughout his sickness as a child his mother was not there for him. She was cold. He hated that and he hated her. He needed love and nurturing. He didn't get that. The way JFK treated women, (and this is from his first sexual experience in a BROTHEL at age 15), was terrible. He cared only about himself and his pleasure. Women had ONE PURPOSE only, in his mind. He was cold and remote with women. He was not able to be EMOTIONALLY intimate with a woman. Women were just objects to him. He was also riddled with venereal disease that was never cured. (Today it would be called chlamydia.) With every woman he slept with he transmitted that disease. Every single one. I believe that is why Jacqueline had her miscarriages, a full-term stillbirth, (daughter Arabella in 1955), and the newborn death of Patrick after three days of life in August 1963. I read another good book on Onassis a few months ago, and when his marriage to Jackie was at a point of war, Onassis said, "All I ever got from that woman was the 'Kennedy Clap'!!" Kennedy was a dog toward women. Besides sex addiction, this poor treatment of women can be related back to his terrible relationship with his mother~~~and it was all Rose Kennedy's fault that JFK hated her and this led to JFK not really loving any woman. Oh, and speaking of reading, you should try it sometime. You might be able to put forth reasonable and well-written comments as a result.

Growing up Christina A was the girl that the whole world was fascinated by. She was hounded by the media just like princess Diana. Lolx.
