Oh her husbands wallet is going to be "Hurting" for sure. Plus that is a Speciale so it shoots up in value due to its rarity.... not 400k more like 750k..... That little fender bender will cost the woman and her husband almost 40k or more depending on the labor and parts and paint... and it has to be from Ferarri Italy.... So add the import fee to get the parts and paint and headlight and have the dealer install it and re-paint the front...... maybe like 45k and above... Plus that car will depreciate in value thanks to her little accident. I don't blame the owner of that Ferrari.... he spent 400k or more to get it and later on sell it for more....... Ironic how she did this in front of a fucking *EYE CARE CLINIC* Oh and to the individual who said "If he can afford the Ferrari " I mean let it be your expensive sports car some doofus decides to crash into and then some guy with a camera just saids "Oh its alright, I mean if he can afford that expensive rare car then umm he has uhhh money" would you just be chill?...nope

Well said. The thing is the Ferrari owner parked in one of the most visible spots. He had no cars on either side (no door dings), hence you would think the car would be fine. The other issue is you had people around who didn't yell at the lady to stop, they just watched. The guy showed remarkable restraint. This Ferrari will take a huge hit on resale with this bad carfax and I am guessing his insurance won't cover "diminished value".

This is why I don't park my Ferrari on the street. I partially blame the owner for being stupid too. The damage was minimal, however, it will now be reported on Carfax that the car has been in an accident which will affect the value of his car, even if the damage is minor. Insurance won't pay for diminished value, which is a serious problem when a Ferrari is in an accident. That very well could set back his resale at least $50k. If I were him, I'd try to skip the insurance payment, ask the owners directly for the money, and pay some guy under the table to repair the car.

The owner of that Especiale was going to sell it for more ($750,000.00) with no accidents or dings. But since the driver in the Mercedes convertible reversed on top of his vehicle, it now has to register as being in a accident with the value dropping $100,000.00 less. The woman driving the vehicle had enough space to move her vehicle out, but being ignorant she floored it and her rear tire rested on top of the front head light of that Ferrari. The insurance won't be able to cover it all, some of the money will be coming out of the husbands pocket..... The paint for that car isn't cheap, nor is the headlight, nor is the front part to replace.... looking at near 70k in repairs (and most of those parts have to be imported straight from Ferrari Italia. Also add in the installation fees and labor costs, looking more into the 80k costs. If anything the Especiale will have to be sent to Italy to be inspected and repaired which will also add to the cost. Imagine you buy a expensive aports or hypercar, and you park it in an area at a car show show people can admire it and photoshoot it. The some asshat with an old jolapy of a vehicle parks about 10 to 27 feet from you. Then instead of driver in that jalopy has the gear shift in reverse and not knowing to switch it to drive or park decides to floor the gas. Then imagine said driver in jalopy car ramps their right rear tire on the front side of your expensive sports or hypercar and damages the front fender and light and sits on it while panic or pressing the gas making the cars tire screech on said fender. Now imagine your hyper or sports car that you were willing to hold a bit before you sell it for more with no accidents now loses value and has to register with an accident on its record and having to be sold at a $100,000.00 or $200,000.00 loss. All because a driver in front wasnt paying attention to what they were doing, and no less that driver just happened to be parked right in front of an *EYE CARE CLINIC* . Their insurance wont cover it all, a chunk of the payment will have to come out of the husbands pocket. Selling off that jalopy car wont even put a dent in that insurance payment. Either way the husbands wallet will be hurting for a while.

Uncle Wang Years ago, I bought a new 328, and with only 1200 miles on the car, a woman with two kids, parked next to me in the farthest corner of a largely empty parking lot. When she pulled in, she ran her bumper up the rear dogleg, door and front dogleg of my car causing around $1500. worth of damage. She left the scene , but one of my staff saw it happen, and we found her parked elsewhere in the same parking lot an hour later. We were waiting for her at her car with the police when she arrived to leave with her kids. She denied hitting my car, when one of the kids blurted out, “mommy, I told you that we hit that car!” In spite of her attempt to leave the scene, and the damage to a brand new Ferrari , I began to feel sorry for her, as the police, my staff, and I were all confronting her like a hardened criminal, over a simple mistake. When she started to cry, with those two kids, and admitted she panicked knowing my car was very expensive, etc. I mellowed out, sent the cops on their way ( I don’t think they were feeling sorry for me either ), and decided to suck it up. She was very grateful and when cool heads prevailed, State Farm paid me $15,000. under the terms of a “diminished value claim”. I fixed it for under $2k, enjoyed a great road trip to the master body man I knew would fix it properly a few states away, and traded up with my dealer a year later with no issues. If you are of the 5 percent who can afford cars like these, then understand that the other 95 percent are maybe just not as lucky or as privileged as we are, and cut them some slack. Or just drive a normal car like everybody else, and keep your prize in the garage and off the streets where normal and average people park, make mistakes, and have accidents.
