A number of countries are to degrees. It all comes down to having respect for culture, yourself, and using your brains. For whatever reason far too many women cut through dark alleys, dark parking lots, go running/jogging too early a morning or too late in evening, etc. alone. Travel alone dressed more like a prostitute than a respectable lady. And if not this then invite strangers to their house on first date or straight from the bar / club when smashed. They put themselves at unnecessary risk.
