Since the cat already trusted you, I think you should have let him see you lovingly petting the dog. He may then see that the dog is not a threat and that you trust the dog, so he can too.

Toby almost immediately realized that it was a baby. Dogs act a particular way when they're excited about an animal but understand that it's very young!

I lost my custard last Monday (October 14 2024). He came as a two month old kid into my family in 2011 (04/2011). He adopted my family. Our hearts are so broken and shattered. Loved Toby's gesture. God bless them all. All of them are heart breakers.

Or far more likely is they put their kitten in the woods, and then filmed themselves going up to it for a reaction vid. Kitten was 100% used to human handling and dogs. Didn't look malnourished whatsoever

@@ronan.pellen Didn't seem reluctant at all go me. Just typical cat shyness. It still immediately ran up when it recognized people. Also didn’t look malnourished or dirty. Kittens don't really clean themselves so they are typically dirty without mother cat to clean them.
