The woman dubbed "Mrs. Bling" refuses to tidy her vast clothes collection. She says that she has hoarded so many designer clothes it would take her to 150-years-old to wear them all. And a man who hoards so many musical instruments literally hasn't got enough time in the day to play them all.

I really dislike hearing someone say of their items "They're too good to give to charity". Charity (thrift) shops want decent items, not raggedy ones. Their customers don't want someone's garbage.

I haven't watched enough to form an opinion other than there was no reason that she ought to sell the piano, especially for a fraction of what she paid for it. Financial profit is not her motive for decluttering. A piano amidst the hordes of small things would be last on the list to eliminate. Plus, once the clutter is gone she may be inspired to play again.

“It’s too good for the charity shop.” That statement repulses me. They charity can really use the money, and there is someone out there shopping charity shop because they can’t afford new prices but need quality items. Does she think charity shops only sell rags? Obviously she never shops there. Glad she makes enough income to never have to, a lot of people don’t.

You have to calculate how much time you need for sleeping eating bathing etc. Youll realise that there isnt time to manage and organise a lot of possessions. The more you have the less likely you are to find what your looking for. The best dressed women have limited wardrobes. There is an element of greed with hoarding.
@Susweca5569
@Susweca5569 Жыл бұрын
True enough... I have an absolutely gorgeous wardrobe, am very well dressed... and it's all in only ONE 7' closet and an 8-bin cubicle. It's organized, color coded, and on good hangers so the clothes don't get ruined. Half of it is high end brands and I probably didn't pay more than $14 for any item there. Quality over quantity, well made/constructed classic pieces. And everything I own is from a thrift store...

No, not really, but I think they said only half of the instruments were sold (otherwise they were robbed)? If one compares the earnings to the ones of the other lady (who apparently had nothing of value and made around half of their earnings) it is way too little. They might have earned more if some of the things were sold online, individually. She had new shoes that could be sold on eBay for 20-40£ without problem. It might be that the helpers sold everything in bulk and while that is faster, it makes less money.

This is off topic and I hope it doesn't sound unkind, as it's not meant that way. JoAnn is a very pretty young woman and obviously very good at what she does. I wish I, as a much older woman, could tell her to please work on her posture. As she gets older, that round-shouldered way she stands is going to set in and make her look older than she is, as well as possibly causing aches and pains. As I said, this is meant to be kind and constructive, not critical.

These UK hoarder shows are sooooo much better than the American ones. Those are all drama and yelling and not getting to the root of the problem. They might clear away the clutter (wih great resentment from the hoarder) but it isnt a lifestyle change. These get the hoarder involved and make them work at cleaning it up. They use humor to get the point across that there is too much stuff. The hoarder onows they jave too much and are working towards a change.
