I feel like in this case their might be some form of dementia or Alzheimer's because her husband mentioned that she was forgetting people that she shouldn't be. This disease is so dangerous because your logic is gone or you get taken advantage of and then forget that you did anything. She doesn't deserve this. Something mentally in this case is wrong and the scammed should be ashamed of taking advantage of her. Her husband should have cut off her phone and money and access to vital info the second he noticed that it continued. Poor guy.

That is my life now 😞 wife has a brain injury and to cope buys multiples of things. I’ve tried cutting her off accounts, but she finds ways of spending. She has applied for multiple forms of credit and has maxed out of of them. She has almost fallen for scams, but i have been lucky enough for now to stop it early. It’s exhausting trying to keep her safe and raise 3 kids ☹️

I fell for a similar scam. Someone impersonated the owner of my company and I thought he wanted gift cards for our clients. Part of my job was sending things to clients. I had no idea that they target new employees at small companies. I was 3 months into the job. I got fired even though I got them their money back. I was absolutely devastated.

Wow. You literally can't write a business contract as bad as a marriage contract. I have no idea why people get married, unless they both are and will continue to be eternally broke. If you must get married, PRE-NUP! Keep your assets separate. Marriage only makes sense if you are not likely to be financially viable ever, and if you are just plain marginal. If you're a mover and a shaker, be very careful. BTW - I am a successful woman - that knife cuts both ways.

My grandma has dementia and does stuff like this. Never thought I’d say it but thank god her eyesight is so bad she can’t see a screen. She just orders 9 purses from QVC because she can’t decide on one color and doesn’t end up returning any. My mom is her mothers only child and at this point she has no inheritance left because her mother spent it all.
