everytime he says "tiny dots on an endless timeline" i become painfully aware of our short life span and the insignificance of our lives compared to the rest of time, but at the same time I'm more than happy to own and have been a part of my own bundle of tiny dots on this endless timeline.

This whole album brings back memories of being fifteen and lonely as heck. My family was going through rough times and all I used to do was play Skate 3 and listen to this songs. I'm 23 now and everytime I listen to any song of this album I immediatly find myself in my room as it was back then, with fresh wounds on my arm, yet everything seemed more calm than things are now.

It's crazy to think, now 6 years later, that the time they spent in this place recording this album. Which has turned into a masterpiece in my opinion after having time understanding the tonal shift. That those moments are now tiny dots on an endless timeline, and so much more relatable with this album centered almost entirely on one place but at the same time about every place that's ever existed. Including the people that lived in them ❤️

La Dispute is my favorite band that I have to be in a specific mood for. It's like I'm at all times aware of the existential crises, wonders, and unanswered questions that life presents to me even on my most unconcious days but once in a while, when I'm not trying so hard to have a good time or too focused on reaching some arbitrary milestone, I'll actually stop dodging those thought trains and let myself think. La Dispute's music is a catalyst for those moments.
@millylarice222910 жыл бұрын
Calming and soothing. I usually don't like love songs but this one isn't cheesy at all. It sounds so authentic and honest... wonderful. "Move your hip slightly in We say nothing then out loud and that's what feels the most profound" is my favourite line...
