I agree. Each person should have his or her own individual bank accounts as well as one joint account to pay some utilities. Each person should be responsible for paying certain bills. For example, one person should be responsible for paying the mortgage, and then the other person should be responsible for paying car notes and the car insurance. Or one person is responsible for the groceries and the daycare expenses, while the other person pays the mortgage. Personally, I am a 60/40 woman, and I like for the man to pay slightly more for the household bills. I do all the cooking and cleaning, so I think the man should pay 60 percent of the bills.
