It's perfectly natural for a kid to gripe about their perceived miserable oppression under the rule of a parent but it's sick for a person like this grandmother to play upon it. If the child wants to talk about something she claims she cannot talk about with her mom, a responsible grandmother would advise on ways for her to talk to her parents, rather than bragging in court about being the valued confidant.

Judge Judy was so on point in this case. What's there to be continuously disputed by the grandmother? The more she opens her mouth, the brighter the realization about who's the real trouble in the ex's and child's life.. we're not all judges but audiences can clearly rationalize the situation. I understand the sentiment of the grandmother to also be a part of her grand daughter's life but instead of suing her ex-daughter in law, why not try to be in touch and talk about the problem, it seems like the ex daughter in law and the ex husband are both reasonable people to begin with having the fact that issues in regards with the wellfare of their child had been settled just between the both of them without involving the court room. If people can just admit to their mistakes, say sorry for the sake of family and love.. many families could be in a more harmonious relationship and environment. Especially when we get older, the more realization hits us on how important the value of family and love ones are in our lives.

She kept saying she wasn't a pot stirrer. But the more she argued with JJ about it the more she was providing JJ right. You don't have to see or be around someone to stir the pot. I know from experience with my 1st ex my daughter and his mother. She was the one who made all the decisions in the house. She was the one that actually raised her ever though we had joint custody. She's the one that moved them around the US to try and keep her away from me. Against court order. She got Alzheimer's about 10 years ago. 5 years ago she passed away. Took until 1½ years ago for his brainwashing to go away and accept me as her mother. We are now friends. Wheres before I couldn't even step in their driveway. Growing up she wasn't allowed any contact with me in their eyes even though it was court order. I have been to his house 5 times and fixing to go see Gabriel Iglesias together with his wife and our daughter on Feb 19th 2022. He found out I'm not the bad horrid person his mother made him believe. She even brainwashed my daughter into thinking I killed her 19 month old brother when she was 10. So for 34 years she believed it. Even though we have always been close. Last week she and I got into a huge fight (I live with her do to being disabled). And the accusations started flying. I tried to defend myself but she wouldn't listen. Later that night she called me from work and I was able to then tell her exactly happened that day he died. And the day in question about telling her I was responsible. After listening it finally clicked that her grandmother lied to her all her life. When she got home she was in tears and apologized to me for everything. Of course I accepted. She's my daughter and I love her with all of my heart. She is now 44 and we are closer than we were before the fight. Didn't think that was possible. Sorry this is so long. Sometimes I get to making a comment about something and then I remember something that happened close to me that was related and so I shared. Thank you for understanding.

Family members that turn children against their own family and put toxicity in their heads are truly scum of the Earth. There's nothing more important than family and these people seek to tarnish it.

Also its reasonable if the ex wife doesn't want to be around the grand mother because of the restraining order. Its like she wants to bait the ex-wife by making sure she is there wherever the ex wife is fully knowing she has a restraining order against her. It has nothing to do with the grand child. The grandmother sees her grand daughter on the regular if she lives with the dad. She is being a bit pushy by insisting to be in the same space with the ex wife on account of the grand daughter and you have other occasions to do that.

This lady reminds me of some of the parents I work with. I'm an adolescent therapist and I"m constantly telling parents to step back and stop rescuing/making decisions/protecting their kids. That their job as a parent isn't to keep their kids happy, but to help them learn boundaries and how to make their own informed decisions. This lady's trouble and you can tell because she spends the entire time playing the victim with no accountability at all.
