You can buy stretch covers in some lovely materials that will make your sofa look like new.l did it with mine and it looked good,

I thought the same about getting my house back after I stopped working with kids at home and my boys grew up.... then we got dogs... they chewed and still chew everything 😢

Totally advocate for a “favourites” box/space. I’ve got a handful of books, my top 5 movies, and maybe 20-30 favourites albums that I just can’t stand to part with

I need to dedicate some time to take loads of stuff to the charity shops in the area. So much of my childminding stuff needs to go. But never being at home these days is making that tricky to do 😆

I have that same fear. I have an entire room full of filled bookshelves of books and music albums. You never know...right! I cannot seem to bring myself to give them away.

There are a number of good videos on mending tears in fabric on KZbin, plus you also add on the back some iron on stabilizer for strength.

I really like the sofa cover and patching it up sounds very resourceful and creative especially as it’s a slight area. Sharing tasks and giving young adults a little more responsibility at home lends to momentum and independence later on in my book! 😊

After travails with my earliest freezers, I opted for an ice free freezer/fridge last time. Sticking to them, worth the extra cost! Thank you for the video! I was shrieking at the screen ‘try the washing machine’! 👍

I always use a cool bag/box for popping freezer bits in while defrosting

I have second hand sofas, I have grandchildren and a foster dog ! I did buy new things when my children were older! Everything is so expensive! You can't beat a comfortable sofa , if you buy a new one try it out before you buy ! I had a big declutter when I moved house . I still have too much craft stuff . It comes in useful so can't part with it ! I have borrow books from the library which I can download and listen too

is it the washing machine id clean the tops of the cupbords hun its an inch of dust wont do your girl much good z the roasting tray fill with boiling water and it will be lot faster and it is good way

Household hint: after you clean above the cabinets in the kitchen, line with washable towels, easy to wash and put back when you want to.

we did our freezer in 2 hours total put boiling water in and if you had a steamer i did it with this be careful that freezer socket isnt good its wobbley not screwed in prop the veg sausage and burfgers u can refreeze them its not meat and veg u mite of turned the tishwasher

If you embroider the sofa cover it is likely to tear again near to the mend as the fabric is old. If it's a Ikea sofa you may be able to buy new covers. I have also tried throws but they move all the time and get annoying.
