I've been studying this art for the last year and honestly what i love about it so much, is even without the application even without seeing it work, the science and technicalities that these ancient warriors thought up are so interesting and extremely intelligent. I've been studying martial arts on and off since i was about 12 (I'm 24 now) including kung fu, kick boxing, wing chun boxing and even after over a year of training in shastar vidiya, in every lesson there is always something completely new to me. a way of looking at something I never thought of, or even when i am familiar with the concept or idea behind a technique, shastar vidiya takes it up by about 10 notches. The optical illusions, the efficiency in movement and the pure genius behind the science makes this one of my favourite arts

When I watched this master for the first time,He was showing a kind of ritual "dance" before the fight,also during fight and those mooves were so familliar to me,a kind of thing I "knew from somewhere",but could not remember,from where. It is fascinating fighting art for sure!

Wrestling is a good base for any Martial Art. This particular Art sounds very similar to Tai Chi.

in a sumatran silat we have a training system called satria yoga,it is used to strengthen,make more agile and better balanced,think it comes from india as satria is warrior in indian dialect,found in des bordes lumpat harimau pencak silat

Yes satria means warrior in sanskrit ,warrior yoga ,no doubt came from india
