Volunteer wildlife carers Stephanie Clark and Wayne White received a 100gm wombat joey after his mother was killed by a car. 5 months later, little "Tunna" is thriving. www.themercury....

Such terrific people. That little guy is so adorable. He runs around them like a little dog. It would be hard to give him up, I think.

ingion1 I personally don't say/write that sentiment often. I think a wombat would make good friend. I don't think in terms of ownership, more like friendships. Peace.

I saw some film showing how aggressive the adults were at a zoo in Australia. They casually bit at the tv person over and over and blood was shed.

Don't! What you want is a wild animal to thrive in the wild. These people don't raise wombats for themselves. They raise them to be wild, so that the quality of life measures up to the quantity. I know you're just being good nature'd. But continue to be so by respecting where wildlife comes from in the first place (if you want to care for an animal, do so for a domesticated animal like a cat or dog). Also, donate to your local ASPCA!

A wonderful story about people doing the right thing for a precious, defenseless animal. I really thank you and hope you can continue your work for a very long time. There are always so many animals that need our help. These wombats are so adorable, it must be difficult to release then back to the wild.
@nicolareddwooddforest448111 жыл бұрын
I could not release him either. I wonder whether there comes a time when releasing a rescued animal is not safe at all any more for the animal because of urbanization, urban sprawl, hunters, cars, etc. Same in regards to the ocean with all the commercial fishing boats.
@TruthSeekingElf13 жыл бұрын
This is so beautiful and heartwarming. It's my dream to have some land to help the animals that seem to be being forgotten more and more within the madness that is our current society. Beautiful video, thank you for sharing and for all your hard work and dedication.
