43 mins of heaven, thanks for pushing through J5. I can only imagine the spectacular beauty this park would be to behold in higher definition. Sir Wombat, if you founded a planet coaster religion, i would follow. Inspiring work, great job. I agree J5 some of the best coasters we have seen, and i am little jealous of the ratings (raises angry pirate fist). Cant wait to see more from this fighting marsupial fellow. :-)

Thx a ton king :D that means a lot. Though really if anyone should have the honour of starting a planet coaster religion, gaining the prestigious title The Prophet of Planco, it should be the big man himself jonny 5 :D I will be more than happy to settle for a position as a humble priest :D

Hey! I'm the crazy guy who made this park, I just wanna say thank you for the awesome spotlight and feedback, it made all those hours spent worth it :D For those asking that i upload the blueprints, most of them i already did, at least those it made sense to do, Desert Thunder as a placeable coaster doesn't really make much sense :D All the shops and facilities I built for the park should be available as blueprints, along with most of the coasters, at least the track layouts and the stations. Again thank you everyone for the awesome feedback and kind words, and thank you Channel 5 Gaming for spotlighting my park.

this is very nice but exactly with utilizing the terrain. A mega park doesn't always have 10+ coasters but to have enough space for park sectional and structural use of theme. Overall it's a brilliant design layout of the park and the coasters are fantastic. My computer wouldn't be able too handle this. A big park does attract but should have an equal amount of ride styles of coasters, dark rides and water rides.

Very nice park with very good coasters. Some coasters could have used one or more mid section brakes to allow higher capacities tough. There also seems to be something wrong with the Power Surge coaster. It has a nausea rating of >3, while I don't think it should have such high nausea. I suspect it's due to one corner that is taken too fast or not banked enough. (possibly the one at the end)

Hoping that they will upload all their custom buildings and coasters then maybe you can show off their work on a Wednesday :) Only thing I'd change would be to hide the lights in the ground.
@jameslawther44297 жыл бұрын
If it's the stuff from custom buildings from this park you are talking about, I already uploaded the majority of buildings used and all of the coasters that made sense as placeables. Yeah I agree the lights could have been hidden better, there are a actually lot more things I would like to have improved before uploading tbh, I guess in the end I just wanted to get it out there, I hope some day i will get all those things done. I still update the park from time to time with minor cosmetic changes, but this is the finished product in regard to building rides and major stuff. Kombat Wombat.

Wow, that main speed coaster is the best. Would love to see and ride something like that IRL. As a suggestion, I'd put a line of triggered golden lights in the dark tunnel that illuminate just ahead of the car in rapid succession. Awesome park as well. Totally agree that it's a bit too early in the game's development to build such a massive location. Would have been better as several smaller parks. BTW, you forgot to ride UFO.

Pause the game while exploring and the lag goes away. Also a good tip while building is to pause the game.
@Channel5Gaming7 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, pause is a good tip. I often try to simulate the best park possible, but I may have to make an exception on these mega parks.
@jayjaygolden51236 жыл бұрын
For these low framerate parks you should record rides and walkaround in slowmo and then commentate after if you can
@jamestaylor76377 жыл бұрын
Great content as always. Enjoy seeing the bigger parks as well as the small ones. On another note I downloaded this map just to see how bad my fps would be. I dont have an amazing pc but its still quite high spec - (i7 5820, 32 gig ram and a 980 ti) but everything on full and 4000+ people in the park i still get a healthy 60+ fps. So the low fps you are getting might be more down to your pc configuration + recording software rather than the size of the park.
@Channel5Gaming7 жыл бұрын
Yes recording software takes up a good amount of cpu and gpu power, but I may need to better tune my settings on it too. Your pc is also better than mine. i7-4790k, 16 gig ram, R9290 4GB gpu.

It cost over £1000 for Ram, Motherboard, CPU and Graphics card which i then put in my existing PC. I bought it back in June 2015 so its getting on a bit now and u can get better components than i have for less money. I was very apprehensive spending 600 on a graphics but it offered the best value for money at the time and Im pleased to say even now even now i can still run everything on full in any game so it might turn out to be a bargain if i get another year or so out of it

I just wanted to send you an update in regards to system requirements to handle this type of park. I know you spoke a lot about just how heavy this particular map is on a system but there are setups that can handle it. I had my system maxed out in the settings everything on, high, ultra and max resolution 3440x1440 with gsync @ 100hz. I could walk the park with this setting and my frames would hover around 20 FPS. When I rode rides I would be anywhere from 15 FPS to 30+ with no hitching in windowed mode. I just found something I am going to test while in borderless because supposedly it increases FPS but I will see. My system is a Windows 10, ASUS RoG Maximus IX Formula, I7 7700k @ 4.9Ghz on a Corsair h100i V2 watercooled, Corsair Dominator 32Gb @ 3200Mhz, ASUS RoG Poisedon air cooled boosted 2025Mhz, Samsung 860 pro NVMe 1 TB primary (all programs loaded here), Samsung 850 pro SSD512 GB, Corsair HX750i power supply and an ASUS RoG Swift PG348q monitor. Obviously not the standard computer which means a lot of folks won't be able to run it the same way but it's possible and the graphics and experience is amazing.
@Channel5Gaming7 жыл бұрын
Yeah this video is pretty old. Now with the new 1080 TI that I have, I could prolly run it on ultra at a solid 20ish FPS. All my recent videos over the past fews months have been generally fine with parks this big.
@cobra412uf7 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the designers could find a way to make it so when custom buildings or objects are designed that it allows you morph the object into one solid piece and drop the polys that are not displayed or need to be displayed. That would reduce the draw and rendering portion a lot which would allow for higher performance. If they could allow you to select to faces of an object and at the exterior point at which they intersect now becomes a connection then the rest could be deleted. Some games have an object builder and it would probably help performance tremendously.

Hey, dude who built this park here, I have a youtube channel now if anyone wants to check it out, it's got videos of these and other coasters. I'm still kind of new to this whole recording thing, so it's nowhere near the quality of jonny's stuff :D (and most likely never will be) But thats not really the point anyway, it's really just to showcase my stuff and to have some videos for the workshop.
@brothalee43137 жыл бұрын
jonny you can defiantly upload in 60fps all my video are 60fps and the program i have reduces the fill size to about 40mb compared to 2gb file ,you just got to set you video editor export setting to 1920x1080 60fps but idk what software your using , also tip for the mega parks people need to lay off the foliage and special effects ie, fire ,lights and water ,if they use there trees for specific area and strategically place each light and tree you ill get way better fps results ,i have a new map that stretches end to end and im still getting 30 fps on a gtx 745 :D so i now youll get 60fps just like my six flags park , it ran very smooth because i literally deleted any tree i felt wasnt needed and same with lights ,we can go to crazy on lights some time and the game cant hang yet

@jameslawther44297 жыл бұрын
Well it was pretty well hidden :D personally I actually kind of like that there are some hidden bonuses for people to find themselves after they watched the video. But if you want to do Area 16 sometime, I can probably split it form the rest of the park and upload it as a coaster submission, it's probably still my best coaster when it comes to theming. I also just uploaded UFO (spinning coaster) as a placeable coaster to my workshop, though I don't think that ones worthy of a spotlight, it's there if anyone wants to check it out. Kombat Wombat

I think i missed a few actually. I think i counted 12 and he claimed to have made 16 in the description. Someone suggestion a few videos back I start riding them from the ride menu. However this was recorded a while back, so couldn't really test that. Can't remember if the rides and coasters are mixed together in the list, so it may not be all that helpful, especially when people rename rides too. : /
