Die C could hold his own with the best anywhere in the world, bias, Lazy where dropping songs as good as anywhere else. They never exactly had the big contracts to be flooding the market. Its australia, not america, we are only 10% of the population of america. Even the biggest and greatest actors have to go to america to be signed and make it, and you cant do that with rap, rap doesnt cross over like that. Rap over there is mostly a gimmic, how would they promote him? Even if you had the greatest rapper ever, the crociladile wrestling, shark killing, knife weilding from down under?? I doubt it would sell to well, might get 1 off album? Just remember, a big percent of the greatest actors in Hollywood are from Australia, that should tell you something, that there is alot of talent here. These guys i mention that have been around since 91 92 in australia have done a incridable job of holding down a sound that is uniqucly australian, while still being up there with guys from new york or london. I actually cant believe how well guys like Lazy kept it. Not to mention, while still flying in the face of 26.99999999 million australians that were laughing in his face and saying australian cant rap, and its not for australia. You claim they didnt set the bar high, I say, they were givin an seemingly impossible task, and have done an incredable job. You pick the wrong to be dissin australian hip hop scene to buddy. You wont hear me dissin anyone like that hear, i wont stand for it. I been around here years Forgot, too mention others to mention, Brad Stut, Prowla, Lenny Len etc etc

i think its safe to say wombat is an extremely important part of our musical lives. might not be doing the best with your numbers... but doing the best with your lyrical skill and it shows.. check youtube comments on reaction and comparison videos. Wombat is hands down the best australia has to offer when it comes to lyrical skills. we might have others doing big numbers at the moment.. but that all comes down to the scene and current trends. look at eminem's lyrical skill. never followed a bandwagon, never changed his flow to fit into any certain scene... just continued dropping ridiculously skilled lyrics and will now go down in history as the goat.
