I asked a chick out at the dog park that id chatted with for a couple of weeks almost daily, and had seen for months without engaging in any talk. In person she said yes, so i got her number and a few days later she text changing her mind. I just said yeah no problem, didnt text back harassing her, no pressuring her or even asking asking why she changed her mind. I just accepted it and moved on, her loss. Next time i see her i just chat to her like id done previous to asking her out, no flirting and shorter chat than usual before leaving as i didn't want her to be uncomfortable and well, whats the point, right? Shit i even went at different times so she didnt have to bump into me as often just in case she felt awkward. Since then she's definitely avoiding me like i did something creepy. This was the first women id asked out in 30 years, having only separated 6 months earlier. The rejection part is cool, i just question, how did i misread the situation so bad - even though she said yes to begin with. But to avoid me like im some creeper stalker or something when all i did was exactly as stated here leaves me wondering - is it even worth it? The answer, probably not. Im just gonna go my own way for a while.
