I don't like some of the phrasing some of those folks use, but your point is correct. While all men and women should be safe and honest and informed... it's far, far more difficult for women to infect a man with HIV.

You didn't transfer it to anyone including two long term male partners. Have you been doing unprotected sex or sex with condom??

The one exception to this is the risk from anal mucous that is the same regardless of sex or gender. Still like she says incredibly rare, so get tested and know your status if that could be a problem get on PrEP!

How are straight men getting it then ? I understand that it’s a much lower chance getting from a woman, but I don’t believe there is no chance. It’s sad that we still don’t have all the answers and a cure yet. Nice to see that your looking much healthier 😊

They’re not straight, they are having sex with men secretly. The Downlow. And they lie to the health department about where they got it ie. “Sex workers” “girl of unknown status”. LIES! Women are the scapegoat to their secrets. Nothing has changed since the 80s. Nothing.

I think we also tend to forget that relations aren’t the only way to get infected. People still get it from needle drug use.

@Pozleigh is telling the truth...... It happened to me in 14'. Boyfriend slept with a trans womam sex Worker, and passed it to me. Years and years later, slept with another boyfriend for 2 yrs unprotected! He got tested and didn't have nothing. She's not lying.

Yeah for the woman and her man would have to have been with men. I know you all want to make this a heterosexual thing, but it’s not.

@@Pozleigh So does that mean only the bottom is at risk in gay relationships? Because presumably topping a man or woman for anal sex is equivalent risk. And how come so many people in Africa are infected then? Gay sex?

What about unprotected anal sex. If the female has HIV and she has unprotected anal sex with a Man (a Man that does not have HIV) wouldn’t he contract it that way?

@@neox9369 I really hope you did not just refer to me as SLOW, for trying to be more educated on this issue. I was the one who had a job in the 90’s working with the disabled in my community. One of the people I helped was a Woman with HIV. She was covered in sores. I not only hugged her, but we shared a pen. She cried and thanked me for caring, she said no one will touch her. Remember this was the 1990’s. We became Friends and we would talk on the phone. I tried to hook her up with as many services as I could think of.

A male individual engaged in non-penetrative sexual activity with a female partner who is HIV-positive. viral load high While no penetration occurred, the male's penis came into contact with the female's vaginal fluid as the tip was inside . The female partner had a high viral load but no visible sores or infections, and the male also reported no symptoms or abnormalities. its been one week chances of transmission of hiv its been 72 hours scared please help , started rashes coming in back and legs itching started very scared it been 2 weeks help please rate me on getting hiv from 1-10

I am not defending her nor do I have any skin in the game, however she did not say it was “an impossibility". What she did say was that it was a very low percentage. Those are two different things.

Please read the research and stop bringing gender wars into it. The mechanism of transmission of HIV is nearly impossible from female to male. Just read the scientific journals.

It is very unlikely that a woman gave a man hiv. Unless they shared needles or something like that.

See human beings infected by other human beings ... The point is we need a cure and support researcher and dr .. so as soon as vaccines develop... Provide funds for this.... Provide the help community....go ask researchers and the government to provide a good amount of money for research... This is 2024 we need a vaccine... It should be in the public domain..
