I rarely say no to women over light-duty stuff like dancing. I tend to go along with it out of consideration for the fact that approaching a guy is tough for them as they're not used to it. But one exception was a time when this one chick approached me. Her friend had previously walked up to me out of the blue, grabbed my beer out of my hand, and then grabbed my hand and dragged me out on the dance floor - while her friends cheered. I took it as a compliment, went along with it, and got a little ego pump out of it. So I guess this "one chick" figured that I was an easy mark. She walks up to me, gives me a five-minute lecture on what a jerk I am (her idea of flirting?) and then threatens to hurt me if I don't go dance with her. I tell her that if she wants to dance with me she's gonna need to find a different approach. I mean, even after that opening I was giving her another shot at it. Quite charitable of me, I thought. But instead of adjusting her approach appropriately she goes completely in the other direction and just goes off on me with all kinds of verbal abuse. She was SO offended that I declined after that brutal approach. SMH.
