We’ve had DECADES of “don’t creep people out” and “don’t do microtransgressions” and “don’t comment on physical appearance”. Movies don’t show men being appealing or charismatic anymore. We have two generations of men with no idea how TO behave, just a daunting list of behaviors to AVOID.

I recently met up with a friend who I haven’t seen for a while and he hugged me. Before that, it was the late 2000’s when I had that kind of physical contact from someone I’m not related to. Hopefully I did a little bit to give them the tools they need. Now, *I’m* the introverted one, riddled with anxiety, depression and loneliness. Borderline becoming a nihilist. All of these people saying "oh shes a horrible human being"- like everyone who shares your politics is going to be a great person? If you had a connection, was it really worth throwing that away over something so trivial? A part of the phenomenon described in the video is in the past, people realized they had to learn to accomodate minor differences. Real relationships are a give and take. It depends how it went down of course, if you asked politely not be to be referred to as a cis man, and pointed out that everyone should have the right to define how they want their gender to be referred to, and she just ghosted you, then yeah, that wasnt gonna work. But if you "told her" in a hostile way, she's right to break it off, because the fact you're getting hostile over something so small so early in the relationship is a red flag. It really depends how it went down, and the reality is, if you have a good connection, its ok if you dont agree on every single thing.

This topic made my heart hurt. I am the mother of two grown sons, one of whom is in a long-term, seemingly stable relationship that seems to be headed towards marriage. My eldest, though, met a girl online, and as soon as he graduated high school, he moved across the country to be with her. He married her, they had a baby, and she immediately left him to be with another guy. My son came home and now lives with me and my husband. He continues to send money for his child, but he has zero contact with his son. I have never even met my grandson. The only photos I have are of him are the ones taken at the hospital on the day he was born. My son is deeply sad, he admits that he is depressed, and I want nothing more than for him to meet a nice, wholesome girl who will love him and care for him the way I do. He seems so very lonely. I try very hard to reach out in a non-intrusive way, asking him about his day and making sure that he knows how much he is loved and valued, but I'm his mother... that's expected. I want him to experience this with someone who is not his parent. I'm not in the greatest of health, and I am terrified that he will be alone once I am gone. I pray for him, but I still worry constantly, and this video just brought home the stark reality of what young males are going through in this society. God help us all.

I’ve just opted out of dating for awhile at only 27. Nobody seems to want to build a meaningful and genuine relationship and build towards marriage and family. The idea of compromise to sustain a relationship is gone, it’s now called “settling” and younger women “refuse to settle.” You have to be exactly what they want and if they find better they move on or if you slip up in any way they leave, or if they suddenly decide they want different qualities because friends or social media told them they should they’re gone.

From my take on this video is the right is becoming men strong. But historically over the last 100 years, they don't do anything that isn't specifically for the party leaders and their sponsors. So nothing will be fixed for the better, it will likely be turned down until everything is worse equally. An anti solution I suppose. So the right will "fix" men's issues by reintroduction of women's issues. Effectively just turning back the political clock by 150 to 200 years.

@@owretched6854 That's some grade A bullshit. I remember vividly talking to my best friend (girl) about some things I was dealing with and showed emotion and cried. A girl who was interested in me saw that, and lost interest. Men are told that the "Men don't cry" is toxic. Yet, every time we show them, we are humiliated by both men and women. We're told that we are supposed to make the first move, but unless we match all the woman's personal preferences (6 ft, 6 inches, 6 figure income), we're creepy stalkers. We have to be the ones to support women, but if a woman feels like she just doesn't want to be married anymore, they get half our stuff. There's no incentive to even engage with women these days. I saw the original video to this reaction, and yes the male loneliness epidemic is real. I was raised in a home where I was told by my grandmother almost daily that I was no good, worthless and pretty much everything terrible you can imagine to have said to a growing boy. My dad was an alcoholic at the time and I was told I'd be just like him and be a failure. I never told my friends much about it but a conversation with the sister of one of my childhood buddies I'll call her Jen for the sake of this comment, I revealed to her what it was like for me and she said she always knew something was very wrong but somehow I was still a gentleman and a charmer with the girls at my school, her words not mine. I went through growing up thinking I was garbage. Jen told me that there were girls that had crushes on me that I never knew about but so many years later it was bittersweet to hear. I struggled with depression for most of my life and still get that feeling of loneliness from time to time. A couple times I had decided to end it all but fate had other plans as the first time I was interdicted by a friend who happened to come across me as I sat on the edge of a bridge over a deep ravine, to this day he probably doesn't know that he in fact saved my life. The second time I realized that I couldn't leave my cat to starve in my apartment, I couldn't do that to a pure little critter so I went home instead of putting the hose on my car's exhaust. To this day I still have that hose and the heat resistant tape, it serves as a reminder that not only neither do I fear death but nor should I fear life. I am not the most attractive man out there at only 5'8" but the past years I've had almost every random girl I cross paths with berate and call me down saying I'm creepy or whatever else insult they can think of. To clarify I decided the same day I put that hose back in my trunk that I will never date a woman again as every attempt at getting a companion ended with my heart being crushed while the girl goes off with some random douche, laughing. We've all heard of women saying that men have no feelings but yes we do, when an real man loves something or someone it is all in and it breaks us up when those we try so hard to make happy turn their backs on us. During my heart to heart with Jen she burst into tears more than once upon hearing that I wanted to die for so many years. She was speechless to hear how women have treated me since we last saw each other. Even now I can't even so much as say "excuse me" or greet a woman without being told how creepy I am. I survived the absolute worst that women could do to me from the time I was a child until now but not all guys can go through that and not let the darkness win. The one ex of mine that I still care for told me she wished she was as strong as me when it comes to what life throws at us, then I told her about nearly deleting myself and that I'm not that strong just lucky in that way as many men have un-alived themselves over similar situations including a dude that was a good friend of mine. Women need to realize that what they say and do to a man sometimes has profound effects, as men we are pre-dispositioned to want to protect and care for those we truly love, even when we get no love back. I feel horrible for the boys growing up now as they have to walk on eggshells around girls, so many are so friggen toxic now but somehow we're the toxic ones since we're males. Since I decided to be alone forever and came to terms with it I have become much happier and content being alone than I could ever be with a woman, still think they can be the most beautiful things to exist but to me it's better to stay away from ever letting one break my heart ever again. There is no such thing as a support system for guys who have been through that kind of hell since society literally coddles women and men don't matter most times. I wish no one ever had to experience what I did but I know deep down many of us guys are dying inside every day, and for that Amala I sincerely thank you and other tubers that have been calling attention to this as it really needs to be put in the spotlight. I fear the damage may be too great however but hope will out as they say

Took over a year but when i finally wanted to see other people, I'm thrown into the most nightmarish dating scene imaginable. In general women's expectations have gone through the roof, while men's expectations are literally just; "please see me as a human". I know there are a few women who care about men, but spending your life trying to find them under rocks feels like a waste of time after a while. Might as well just sit here and write stories or draw pictures. And the one person I did meet just wanted to try and manipulate and use me. It is rough out here.. but I still have hope!

Sounds crazy but I think what is even tougher to deal with, is losing a long term relationship because one person never really loved the other and were just using them or whatever and end up leaving them for someone else. and the other person is left feeling used and abused and heartbroken. Those are the most tragic love stories imo. So I guess I would say don't fear it, but dont rush it. @@bros4654

We're pretty close on the timing for making it through dating and marriage. I couldn't imagine having to go back into the dating scene as it exists today. I just couldn't do it. I'd stay single. It was bad enough when we went through it when dating apps and smartphones were just starting to catch on, but it's saturated now. You've got it rough and you're brave for sticking with it. There is maybe some hope in that there's a collective awareness now that we can't keep doing it. Practically everyone agrees that the dating game is horrible now, and while there are big disagreements over the how and why, I think people are finally ready to fight against it. Maybe in a few years, there will be some bigger spaces to find people that are willing to treat others as human beings.

They don't care how many men die in the process, all that matters is the money keeps flowing to the companies women waste it on and they get to pocket some cash along the way. It's destorying the most productive members of society in order to prop up the economy and maintain easy votes.

Apart from the pendulum swinging back on the leftists in a retaliatory way, do the liberals think that the dating pool is infinite? If men check out of the dating scene and the will to build relationships which lead to family creation, heterosexual woman's options/opportunities will greatly diminish leaving woman equally lonely. And even those men that don't retreat from dating will want nothing to do with woman who hate men as ardently as leftist woman. It's basically a blueprint for opting into spinsterhood. It'll turn from "woman don't need men to please themselves" to "I can't get a man to please me so I have no choice but please myself" especially as they get older because the loudest voices against men are the new, radical generation that think theyll be young forever. It's already happening.

31 year old man here: Who here has pushed everyone away because you felt to be a burden on everyone? @Brads-strung-out Жыл бұрын
If depression is an issue I'd suspect social media usage to be it's cause. Any male with large social media usage will in turn isolate themselves because the social media realm is actually more set to keep women addicted and not men. When you are exposed to social changes, the male will be targeted, you self isolate because of the material you are exposed to, which is heard against the male, virtually to tear you down. Men sit inside the circle jerking bubble and lose themselves in it. Men are meant to be outside virtually all the time. Any male inside on electronic devices is losing efficiency in their manhood. You have choices in moving towards happiness, it's not owed to anyone.
@Brads-strung-out Жыл бұрын
Honestly, when I used social media I was depressed without even knowing it, it never shown itself until I deleted it. When deleted I noticed a need for negative projection onto others, that was the taint social media put on me, this vicious projection because I was exposed to things that made me depressed. Took about two weeks to switch the mind over, then I became bored, when I got bored I chased more life, like everyday. Wake up leave my phone at home and go chase some life experience. Depression honestly disappeared, like evaporated. Now I can't be around people who use lots of social media, because they are the negative projectors I once was. There's many cultures where they don't even understand the word 'depression' it's not even in their language. So it's uniquely western in my opinion, and big pharma makes a lot of money off it. You always have options for better. Just have to want it enough.
@Brads-strung-out Жыл бұрын
A question I put to you. Do you feel men get positive mentions on social media, or anti male mentions? When saturated with negative male projection, guess what the male will go and do.......will go and feel bad about themselves on their own, they will think it's them.......when the negative projection is mostly coming from women with very poor male relationships. But that stuff is the most viewed. Next a large percentage of anything you watch online should be making you feel bad. Pretty much exactly how you described it. It all disappears when deleted.

Before dating apps, guys were competing with guys in their own towns. And now it feels like we're competing with every other guy in the world. And I hate to say "competing" because that makes dating sound like a sport, but with how superficial it's become, it essentially has become one. And the whole concept around dating apps is literally judging a book by its cover. You can't possibly tell what a person's like just from their dating profile. It seemed like all they were looking for was to get a little meal ticket put in their womb - all of my friends either fell prey to this or barely dodged the bullet. Even in the early 90's most chicks were going to end up single welfare moms, and from what I saw, half of them did it *on purpose*. I subconsciously stopped caring about having anything to do with them. Looking back I can't help but wonder what I missed, but at the same time, you can't really miss what you never had, right?

Our society needs true men & women to stand up to raise these next generations to respect the other gender regardless. Boys treated poorly become poorly behaved men. Likewise entitled girls become women with entitled attitudes. This is a problem that will grow out of control unless solutions are embraced.
