Women's work and participation in the fisheries industry often remain invisible and this lack of recognition is a contributing factor towards making ports an unsafe workplace for women. When men enter the port to earn a living as a fisherfolk, women describe a different reality to the one faced by men, including verbal abuse, sexual assault and death threats as part of their everyday challenges. #ThisIsOurWorldToo.
