"Sonic was iconic" 🤣🤣🤣 I can't contribute much to this discussion other than to say that I've been playing Rome Total War (a military empire building game) just about everyday for at least 2-4 hours since it came out in 2005 .....and granted I'm a history nut since age 8....decades ago....all eras and cultures. Was about 1960/61 ?? dad got transferred to NYC for about a year when I was in 2nd grade.....took us on a tour to the UN. He asked if there was a book I wanted from the bookstore....I choose a large atlas of all the worlds countries and flags....and a large paperback of coloring book like material on ancient Rome.....from Romulus and Remus till its fall....of many important stories and highlights of the period....thus my first real introduction to ancient history. Anyways despite all my reading since....it wasnt until playing RTW that the Seleucids appeared on my radar to any extent.....so I guess my point is....such games can stir the imagination and curiosity....to do a deep dive into studying history....at least for some people....I'm totally obsessed the Seleucids.....which reminds me....there's a couple more books I want to get about them and the Bactrian kingdom....then the next rabbit hole will be ancient India of the period. 👍👍👍thanks for your work and sharing.....still trying to grow more stoic 😲😲

Sadly it's almost impossible to do so these days, but we make a concerted effort to showcase academics, intellectuals and authors from all over the world and from all over the political spectrum.
