I agree with you. I’ve paid off my house, run my own business, will have a military pension, have a decent sized Roth investment so far and a few other things going for me. I’m just tired at 38 of the woman being I’m ready to settle down now that wouldn’t have given me a shot ten years ago or so when I was being sent to the Middle East to fight and kind of broke. Deployment was what got me over the hump financially and on the path to owning a house and business. The juice isn’t really worth the big squeeze.

An older relative let my dead beat cousin stay with him last winter only because kids where involved. He couldn't let them kids stay out in the cold. For people who have herd me rant about my deadbeat cousin before, she went missing for a while after losing custody of her 2 older kids. Apparently while she was gone, she found another sugar daddy, got married to the sucker, & had 2 more kids that I only learned about recently when I found out she moved in on my relative last winter with another one of her sob story's. I advised my relative to set a spring move out date with her as you shouldn't kick people out during winter & apparently other relatives advised him to do the same. It's now about a week past the day she was supposed to leave & no surprise she's still not moved out & still hasn't found a job. The kids are currently with another relative while she's downstate for another court hearing. The plan now is to put her stuff out on the lawn by her camper while she's in court tomorrow. To bad I have to work tomorrow, I kind of wanted to help. My cousin needs some tough love. Sadly, I expect this to turn into another fight just like when her mom had to evict her a few years ago for the same reasons after she lost custody of her last 2 kids. I expect my deadbeat cousin to go missing again after this is over & to turn up again in about 5 years or more with 2 more kids & another sob story at another relatives home. Men do yourself a favor & do not date people like my cousin.

About a month ago I downloaded Bumble, not because I wanted to ACTUALLY date, but I wanted to see how much the dating world had changed in 4 or 5 years (last time I was again "testing" a dating app) well..... There was one particular girl who has been a serial online dater (pretty sure she was going tossed around if you catch my drift) who was now 31 and fat (not land whale fat, but you could tell she put on weight), there were HUNDREDS, and I literally mean HUNDREDS of 30+ year old woman who looked like they were 60, add in that I'd say about half, fucking HALF were single mothers..... I just realized it's all fucked. I got 7 matches in about 2 weeks, deleted my account and understood very quickly that I'm actually glad I walked away 10 years ago.

As a bi woman happily in a relationship with another woman, I watched both the straight and gay dating scenes. I knew the straight dating scene was horribly toxic and never bothered with it in school and out. I completely understand why men are bailing.
