The fact that the man was shocked that it is that simple to create peace & him understanding it. Speaks to a lack of inmaturity and lack of emotional intelligence in a lot of men. It’s so hard for them to wrap their heads around the idea that you get out of the relationship/woman what you put into it. Crazy.

She's not wrong, but oversimplified one aspect a bit. The change your type thing. One can't just simply change one's type. Else, you might settle for someone you partially resent. Which is what might happen to you when sticking to your type, but you might not be quite that person's type. To which shebadvises to change one's type... Truth is, it's tricky to meet a full match, else we wouldn't be talking about it.

for me i get with emotional vampires they are not mean just very insecure and need a lot of attention. And sometimes the negativity just drains me to the point where i need a break.
