Work-wise, the change for women is just an expansion of options of jobs. working women in Saudi is not a brand new thing. it's just that now different places & jobs are more inclusive of women, and families are more accepting and supportive. in the past of (before 15-50+) years women mostly would be working in jobs like teaching, nursing, medicine, and other health care jobs. there's more but that's what the majority of women workers did in the past. now we have pilots, flight attendants, musicians, models, engineers, entrepreneurs, personal trainers...etc. you name it. I'm a 24 y.o. nurse & my mom is a retired high school English teacher of 20+ years. appreciate your video! & loved the story & vibe of that first female tour guide " what my dreams were are the reality of my daughters now "

Are you telling a joke Many Saudi women are businesswomen for centuries. The issue is that a Saudi man loves to serve his family and drives his wife to her work every day In recent years, serving parents and children has become difficult because the distances between the work of men and women and children's schools + driving has become safer, so they were allowed to drive. In Western countries, there are too many cases of harassment in official statistics, so this is one of the precautions that a Saudi man takes to protect his family. To be clear, these women do not express the culture of the Saudis.

Many of them refuse women their most basic rights and this was allowed by the government. Saudi culture depends on two things: 1. Religion 2. Arab culture and values. For example, fornication, alcohol, gambling, usury, music, cinema, clothing without a loose abaya, hajab, and traveling without permission from a guardian. This is forbidden in Islam. 2. Women’s work as a cook, waitress or tour guide, we do not accept them as men who care about our family. We like that our women work in an environment that suits their privacy so that they are not subjected to harassment. But in general, Saudis are of two types: original Saudis from Arab tribes, Saudis of several races and nationalities who acquired citizenship in the last two hundred years, and these people have different cultures from us. What they see as empowering women in some work, we see it as an insult to women. A woman’s travel without the guardian’s permission is an infringement on the family and is not acceptable religiously and culturally, so the girl may lose her family because of individual behavior. Those I met are very nice and beautiful personalities, but they are not of Saudi origin, their culture is very different from the original population, they have different customs and culture. For example, I cannot accept that my wife goes as a guide with a foreign tourist in a golf car... I will never accept that. When a tourist goes to Chinatown and presents it as an American culture... this is what is happening with us at this time. Because the residents of Jeddah are active in tourism, but most of them are from the foreign communities that settled in the Hijaz I analyze and explain the situation and do not criticize. Each community and tribe has its own culture. But the origin of Arab and Islamic culture is the Qur'an and the Sunnah. What women say often contradicts our religion.
