This is pathetic. Those women have as much right to pray as men do. To say otherwise is to deny women's equality. This is not "in defiance" but to pray...a right all people are entitled to.

Among the inaccuracies: "The type of Judaism followed by Women of the Wall is liberal Reform Judaism." One of the strengths of Women of the Wall is its diversity, with women across the religious spectrum participating. There are many Orthodox members. Also: "...in defiance of the Orthodox tradition of not allowing men to hear women sing..." This is not mainstream Orthodoxy.

If they want such services they are more than welcome to go to a reform or conservative place. No need to disturb the regular worshippers who are overwhelmingly traditonal orthodox Jews! Even the non-religious locals are offended by this.
