The Ozempic one really makes me mad. I work in a pharmacy and we’ve been having issues getting it in for like 2 months now. I spoke to 2 patients this past week who were worried about not being able to find it (one of which called all the pharmacies within 20 miles of ours and still couldn’t find it.) and the only thing we can recommend is that they speak to their doctor about it and try to start a different medication.

i have to take ozempic for diabetes and it’s so frustrating that people are taking it for weight loss when people like me actually need it. I’ve had such a hard time getting it filled in the pharmacy. it works better than metformin and glimepiride and is really helpful to those wanting to regain control of their health. it’s a shame people are using it for weight loss and severely limiting the stock of the medicine for those that need it

I love when Sharon was talking about the 5-9 before 9-5. I have 5 kids to wake in the morning. We all get up at 5am, but that means I myself wake up at 4- 4 : 30, cuz as Sharon said, I am giving myself time to feel whatever I need to feel before I go wake them up. I don't want to be groggy or whatever when I wake them up, so having that 30 minutes to an hour of "wake up time" to myself is definetly something I need. Also we all go around and say two things we are grateful for before they head off to school.

As a diabetic who's never lost weight as an adult no matter what, Ozempic has been a lifesaver. It's helped my A1C go way down - which other drugs weren't doing - and I've lost weight on it!!
@Kkeplinger3162 жыл бұрын
I am a diabetic and I take ozempic shots weekly. For someone to put themselves thru this by choice they must be desperate. I’m literally in bed typing this because I did my shot last night and it makes me sick the whole next day. It has helped my sugars stay level and I have lost a little weight. But just for weight loss, the side effects are not worth it to me.
@louisadway18562 жыл бұрын
My doc is wanting me to go on Ozempic for weight loss. My partner just started Trulicity for their diabetes and they've had sulfur burps and nausea for the last 4 days.
@Erin496942 жыл бұрын
i’m the same. if i was taking this medicine purely for weight loss than the side effects wouldn’t be worth it for me. I take it because it’s drastically lowered my a1c and because my blood sugar levels are more regulated now i’m able to have more energy which allows me to be more active. the side effects are the worst part and the fact that people are selfish enough to take this medicine away from those who need it for an “easy” weight loss is baffling to me. nothing about ozempic is easy. there’s days i can’t even eat because the nausea is so bad

@maxinezook38352 жыл бұрын
Scales are a double edged sword. They can be good for basic weight tracking but the scales in any providers office will always rule over your home scale in the eyes of your providers. So for example if your home scale says you lost 8 lbs & the drs office scale says you only lost 4 lbs which do you choose to believe? Only you can decide what you prefer & what works as the best motivation for your needs ☺

As a woman that has had a vaginal birth, I HIGHLY recommend doing kegal exercises! You don’t need to use weights though. But by doing the exercises daily, by the time I was 9 months pregnant, I was still sleeping through the night, I didn’t have to go to the bathroom constantly, and then after he was born, my bladder was perfectly fine. I’ve never peed from sneezing or coughing. My walls healed and tightened back up apparently very quickly, and I felt back to normal within a couple months. Also pushing was really easy.

In Australia the Ozempic shortage is so bad the company has turned around and said they won't supply it until at least April 2023. Wegovy and Mounjaro have recently been approved but have no supply yet. The amount of people switching to Trulicity has also caused shortages with their stock, it's insanely frustrating. As a diabetic, I haven't been able to get it since October and cannot afford to import it from Europe like some because it is more than double the price. :(
@TheMrCC21 Жыл бұрын
You don't need Ozempic if you manage your diabetes. I'm diabetic and never needed something like Ozempic to get my diabetes on the right track or keep it there when it has been good. Sure it may lower blood sugar, but if your sugars are within range, it's unnecessary. Meds, insulin, diet, and exercise works well. Plus, Ozempic is for type 2 diabetes. Honestly, do you actually need it? Has your doctor said you need it? Gliclazide is a pill that does the same thing as Ozempic. It helps lower your blood sugar. But if you're adamant you need Ozempic, there are lots of alternatives. Don't be fixated on strictly Ozempic.
@lemonfiend108 Жыл бұрын
@@TheMrCC21 I am a type 2 diabetic who has a lot of other underlying health issues, so yes it does work better for me than other meds and just diet and exercise. My Endocrinologist is waiting to put me back on that or Mounjaro, whatever is made available first here because they are similar and Mounjaro has performed on par if not better than Ozempic in clinical trials. The first time I was on it, it had my HbA1c down to 6.4 within 3 months. They are a different class of drug and work differently from other diabetic medications which is why it causes weight-loss in non-diabetics as well. Yes, it caused me to lose weight, but the reason I, and my doctors, want me to be on it, is because it works for me and doesn't mess with my other medications or conditions.
