I went through all this in the 80s and 90s. I have never trusted what women say about their preferences and reasons for their relationships. I never understood the choices they made, and often they would separate or divorce and then try again making the same mistaken choices. I am now married but that was late in life. I have no sympathy for single women nowadays - unless they are widowed.

I was a kid in the 2000s and I always thought that maybe I would've had better luck if I was born earlier like in the early 1980s. But hearing your story, I'm starting to think it doesn't matter. Some men are just born with all the luck. Anyways, thank you for sharing.

The 20’s are super rough. Now after I’ve gone through my 30s and now 40s I know why

Same here JV. I'm still single and homeless, coming from parents who acted rich and everyone knew they were poor. They homeschooled the kids, beat up any of us who got caught (in my early teens I also got beat up if my dad suspected an adult kid was socializing outside of family). My dad also made us kids all work minimum wage jobs for businesses that advertised in the local paper where my dad worked. To this day (I'm 44) and still single, the town laughs and mocks me, and I cant get a job because no businesses believe I graduated high school because I didn't go to the public high school and there's no record of me because the homeschool program I was given (mainly books my dad used when he went to school in the 1950's) was not accredited so there are no records of me at the state level besides birth records, drivers license and my old Toyota.

Why would you stay in that town then?
@Martin-og9zg8 сағат бұрын
@Jimmy-jm1ol I cant afford to invest and rent/own anything. Not to mention I've been applying to hundreds of better paying jobs and zero response. I'm at my witts end on what to do, and thr concussionsfrom dad's beatings made it difficult to learn anything technical... My grades were good through 9th grade but after the 2 concussions he gave me then I went from A' & b's to barely getting c's. He also wouldn't let us watch tv, or even when an older brother gave us a computer he wouldnt let us use it. It's gotten to the point I show him reruns of hoarders where people tell their elderly parent(s) to clear out the crud or the grandkids won't be visiting.... My dad hates it because he was a hoarder (yard and house/garage full of junk cars and car parts for cars he never owned & refuses to do anything other than say they are worth what a dealer would have sold them for in mint condition). The reruns of hoarders hit home because none of his grandkids ever visit (in over 25 since the married siblings and their spouses got fed up with his junk).
