Sha'Carri suffered the same fait Jackson suffered in last year 100m at the world games. Sha'Carri won that race because Jackson thought she had won the race and dipped while Sha'Carri ran through the line. Same thing here, Sha'Carri thought she had it won while lewis ran through the line. The scary irony is, Sha'Carri won the 100m from the outside lane, Lewis beat Sha'Carri from the outside lane.

It is “entertaining” how supposedly professional commentators know so little about this sport. Athletes training to peak at certain points. A peak can last at most a 6 weeks - and that’s picking it. These early races are preparation, not prime performance. The US Olympic Trials track and field trials begin June 21. The Olympic Track and Field begins August 1. Athletes will be looking to have a “minor peak” for the trials then cycle down to come back to a “major peak” for the Olympics. An athlete that is at his or her peak this early in the season will be hard pressed to be at peak for these much more significant events. That said, congratulations to Torrie Lewis on a great performance.
