I think it's pretty sh*tty to use Simone's Tokyo experience as "clickbait" to try to get people to join your paid subscription. You said that "suddenly" during Simone's practice, "something happened," and "we were all like, oh God, is this Tokyo all over again?" Then you said, but this is where we say goodbye to the general public and then do the deep dive for our Club Gymnerd members. I think that is disrespectful to Simone and is hardly what I would call journalism. And then it turns out that the thing that "suddenly" happened was that she talked to the team doctor and left the arena and came back. I say shame on you for trying to sensationalize a nothing situation to get people to join your paid subscription.

Talk about misguided. If you knew anything about Gymcastic you would know that they care about all gymnasts and have always advocated to make the sport safer and better. They are respectful and supportive and never share information that they are privy to without the athletes consent.

@@pbdl476 I didn't say Jessica didn't have consent to reveal what she did (but did she?). I'm saying she shouldn't have basically said, OMG it's a repeat of Tokyo followed essentially by, if you want to hear this, you have to pay. Simone has had enough people use her story to get clicks. Gymcastic ALWAYS leaves a cliffhanger like this at the end of a video in order to promote their club membership. They do it all the time. It's unfortunate that they did it about Simone this time. I'm not saying that I agree with the logic, but what I think is happening as far as the skill evaluation and the progression of difficulty between a double double off beam and Yurchenko triple full is that with the double double off beam, you legit break your neck if something goes catastrophically wrong. With the TTY, most likely the worst thing that's going to happen is you're going to blow out your knee tear both ACLS or break an ankle or something. This difference is life-ending as opposed to career ending.

I don’t think she’ll 🇧🇷do it either. Why risk injuring her ACL again? Simone’s 🇺🇸vault difficulty will still be higher, so why would she risk it, other than getting it named the “Andrade.” Too risky, unless she’s been landing it consistently and just hasn’t posted her actually landing it. Also, her twist needs to get all the way around, 3 times. If she does it, that will be awesome, as long as she doesn’t get hurt. That would be devastating.

I know this is picky - but how in the world does the USOC or USAG not spend the money to find out what mattresses the athletes like the best and then purchase them in the right size for the beds, and put them on a cargo plane to go with the athletes when they go to Paris? When France says things will be eco-friendly, that's a pretty big red flag that you need self-sustainment for comfort, convenience, food, etc. Logistics logistics logistics. Logistics are for professionals.
@YUjjOi3 ай бұрын
Do you know how many olympians there are? The beds are to minimize waste. Have you ever seen the abandoned olympic villages/arenas in the past? It's crazy. Also this is not a decision from France, it is a decision of The whole International Olympic Committee. The host country does not make al the decisions. This probably will stay a thing in the future, there are already mattress toppers on it. Some people will not sleep good on it others will, but this is better that only some athletes buy different mattresses (less waste) than if they need to provide it for every olympian in the village.
@charlestoddsullivanforpres66283 ай бұрын
@@YUjjOi Don't care how many Olympians there are. I care about the US Olympians. I don't care about the abandoned areas - France wanted to host and France will have to deal with it. I don't care what the IOC says but the host country makes a lot of decisions. We are there to win. Sleep is important. Every single item brought there can be donated once the Games are complete. There is only waste if people let it go to waste. There are thousands of poor in France and elsewhere that would love a new mattress that was used for about 2 weeks by an Olympian.

Chiles SLAYED. but her lip liner was very thick and kinda off on the bottom lip which mad her look like a bootyhole. She kept puckering her lips and it look like someone pooping. Suni definitely wants an All-Around medal and is using every second she has to figure out the best route to landing on the podium. Simone was great no complaints. Hezly might be a bit of a disappointment. I think her bars were pretty good, that will might be her best place on this team lineup if she outscores Chiles, but I don’t quite see her being needed anywhere else and her performances were rough. I am also concerned about her form, her dismounts and vaults were very crunched and I worry the WOGA back break is near. If she wants a chance at 2028 maybe she should go train with Suni and her coach that seems like a safe space.
