After such fierce competition it was heartwarming to see the pure sportsmanship between medalists at the end.

I would really like to see a better replay of Thomas-Dodd's scratch that went over 20m.

Why did they scratch her throw? Did she step out of the ring or something

The shot may have slipped out her neak? Atleast I didn't see her step out and it would've been obvious to her that she stepped out

When the women entered who was thinking that a trans woman would be competing 😊
@mr.popoiscool3 жыл бұрын
I did shot put in grade 7 with 1 month training and got 17.5m... I commend these women for their hard work, just realizing how anti feminist it is to put male-female transgenders in women's sports. I have come to the conclusion that transgenders should have their own league separate of males and female. Its seems fair for all parties.
@lilliejacob53393 жыл бұрын
Hm. Considering the record for that age group (at least in the US) is 16.36 m…I feel like you might be over exaggerating a bit here. Also, the male and female records are extremely close. World record for men is 23.37 m and for women 22.63 m, olympic is 22.52 m for men and 22.41 m for women, and world championship record for men is 22.91 m for men and 21.24 m for women. If there were any sport where getting rid of gender restrictions wouldn’t change much, it would be this one.
@lilliejacob53393 жыл бұрын
Not to mention that in discus cisgender women hold the record over cisgender men
@mr.popoiscool3 жыл бұрын
@@lilliejacob5339 you cant use world records as a base mean... the average females throw 19m and average males 21m... if you've never don't shot put you'd realize how difficult it is to gain even 1cm improvement. 1m may seem like nothing but its miles away in shot put. But I can understand you're perspective. The fact is that trans are allowed max of 10 nanograms of testosterone to qualify while average females have around 3nanograms. There is no reason to even argue over this matter... its like allowing others without a disability into the paraolympics. Everyone deserves a chance at glory and thats why we have divisions. In some sports like boxing ufc and wrestling we have different weight groups because weight really matters.

@@mr.popoiscool bruh average throwers don't throw 21 meters, the average WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP athlete does. Average throwers throw between 9-12 meters
