Yeah, men’s is all about the upper body being able to fully push and lift the entire body weight above chest height. Whereas women’s is more about the flexibility and using power in the legs to propel you up and over, the upper body for women just has to support and catch its own weight rather than pull or thrust it anywhere. Likewise in Men’s gymnastics their legs are for running, supporting, and jumping for vault and floor. Other than that they need massive core to just hold their legs up and out of the way.

@@DietersYT Not equal. Just saying "men are better at physical feats" is verifiably false. It shows a complete lack of knowledge on biochemistry, physiology, and aerobic capacity. And since I don't have the time not the desire to type out a lengthy dissertation on the differences to explain it to you, just know that you could take entire graduate courses on just the biochemical aspects.

Women’s center of gravity is located in the lower abdomen/pelvis region. Men’s center of gravity is higher, up near the bottom of the ribcage. That slight difference alters how well in general men and women can push/pull/lift etc. There are exceptions and many gymnasts successfully learn to compensate but doing so can alter their performance in their own sport’s core competencies. I was never a gymnast. I figure skated and found the math/science that made up the moves fascinating.

@@Tina_voxandikespersonalymaid I do gymnastics tho and no simone biles has never competed a triple flip women just store more fat in their legs so they look bigger but in reality that's just to protect their weak bones also I can do 6 muscle ups on the rings in a row so I've already outperformed all the women in the video

When I was in gymnastics we used men's equipment for our conditioning so we could do everything they could do too, especially muscle ups lol

Same. Muscle ups were easy ( so were the bars ). I could even stretch my arms slowly and stay in a "cross position" for over 30 seconds then back to normal. I'd lift my legs up and down, the best I did was 150. The coaches were speechless. My dad "trained" me since I was a baby ( for fun, he never thought I'd be a gymnast ). I used to hate the last one though lol

I’d say a huge difference I’m seeing between when the guys do the element and the girls is the momentum. The guys are using so much momentum and the girls are more stiff. Obviously the guys have the upper body strength to hold themselves up to move and carry the momentum whereas the girls are just trying to get up. But I wonder if the girls would have focused more on momentum, if they would have been able to do more of the element, especially the scissors & probably the uprise too. Amazing effort all around & guys, thank you so much for being so encouraging & kind to the girls instead of tearing them down. You’re awesome
@NatalieHayes-x5x

i mean, i bet the women would feel more comfortable using momentum if they had been training in MAG for years like the men, but they still did really well
