The lady in purple I can't imagine the guilt she feels. This is why I get so mad about bare minimum sentencing for people that m*lest or r*pe others. Ppl think it's "not a big deal" to punish them for the rest of their lives, but look how much it impacted this woman's life. She has a loving husband that is patient with her and is still so traumatized that she can't take the next step. Heartbreaking. And not her fault!!

Eventually I moved out with my mom but when I would see my grandparents again it had started again. I didn’t tell my family until I was 21, I was terrified to talk about it. To the girl who was married for 6 years and still a virgin... I am so sorry for your experience, I hope you'd feel better as soon as possible. I applaud your husband for being the person he is, I am sure he wouldn't be patient if you're not a great person. Thank you so much for sharing you experience, I cried with you today...

@16:20 When I was like 11 or 12 my friend admitted the same thing to me. At first, when she would tell me that she didn't want me to stay over her house or do sleepovers I figured it was because I am part blk (I had a lot of friends who told me their parents don't like blk ppl, so I wasn't invited to bday parties that all the other kids in class were invited to). But to find out that the reason she didn't want me to stay over was because she was afraid her father would do it to me was really heartbreaking.

I think this is a great platform for women to share their experiences in a space with other women. Women feel safer around other women and it shows that we're not alone. I think we as an audience need to also consider that no one forced these women to come here. They all wanted to come on here and share their experiences and I think that's a beautiful thing. These are strong and courageous women and I hope nothing for the best in their futures. I would love to see this become a series not just for women but for many groups of people. It may be uncomfortable but sometimes we need to be uncomfortable in order to become closer as a society.

this is by far one of the most emotional and insightful videos jubilee has created!! ❤️ women go through so much with little to nobody knowing about it. the way that they bring light to these things while also giving women a safe space to share is beautiful. though it’s a bitter sweet feeling to hear these bad experiences, i think its amazing that this exists and women can watch this and feel seen, heard, and related too. @jubilee : you guys should definitely continue these kinds of videos with many many different groups of people so other groups can feel empowered and that they’re not alone ! ❤️

I'm just coming from the video about men opening up, and I was crying from that already as they were so understanding. But seeing this group of women crying and hugging is beautiful and you know what? It made me really jealous too. We as men would need this sort of understanding and hugs so bad too. We are all humans needing that. Such a great format.

I’m so thankful that Mariah came back to share. I am in the exact same situation. I was abused for years by my older brother, and I still cannot go back home because my mother still allows him to live in her house. My dad even got him a lawyer when I finally got the courage to file police reports in my twenties since my entire family chose to protect him when I disclosed the abuse in my teens. I’m incredibly grateful to hear I am not alone, but devastated to know just how many of us have been utterly betrayed by our families in the name of family loyalty.

Just know you are not alone and your story is valid and your worth is not lost. You matter, and I’m not just saying this because the world is actually a better place with you in it. “I’m in love with my best friend, but I don’t want to risk losing our friendship.” I completely understood why one of them chose not to tell about it because it’s tough and that best friend of one of those women will know and felt that completely. I was in love with one of my HS friends for a while although he and I aren’t able to go further because he’s too unsure of himself which is sad but understandable.
