Yeah the size fourteen girl’s hips and thighs are HUGE. But she’s also possibly 5+ inches taller than my 5’3” frame so therefore weighs a lot more than me in order to also be a size 14.

Milfuelle100 I’m a size 12-14 (depending on the brand) but I’m also 6’0 but I totally get what you mean. While she probably is a lot shorter than me, she seems to carry her weight more in her thighs/hips, where as I carry mine more in my stomach. I’m definitely not the skinniest, and I’m actually on a weight loss journey right now, but even if I dropped to like a 10 or 8 I would still have to wear a bigger size due to length.

As a dancer who understands the important of stretching, we need to start educating people that stretching ISNT A WORKOUT. I lived with a girl who was overweight and we would go to the gym together and all she did was stretched and she never saw any progress and she ended up not getting a place on second year of college because she was still over weight and wouldn’t progress. @@lilygoertzen2981 I understand you might feel like that's healthy if it makes you lose weight, but fasting for that long isn't good for you and can lead to severe muscle loss. You need a steady input of energy throughout the day through the food you eat so your body can function well. Intermittent fasting is a far safer option, which is fasting between 8pm and 12pm (midday) 2-5 times per week. If you are struggling to eat more than one meal a day I recommend seeing a doctor as you might have an eating disorder. washpoppinnn nnn I’m not talking about people who are at the top of a healthy weight range. For example, for my height and gender, I could be as low as 125lbs or I could be as heavy as 170lbs and be healthy. That’s a difference of 45lbs. That’s quite a large range. And hey, if I was 175lbs, yeah technically I’m overweight but it’s close enough that it’s not a huge deal. But when we are talking about being 15+ pounds outside that healthy range, it is NOT healthy. You can be active when you’re overweight, but that doesn’t mean you’re healthy. The truth is, (and I know no one wants to hear it) is that there are weights for human beings that are healthy, and weights that are unhealthy. That’s not my opinion, that’s a fact. We know that when fat builds up around the belly, it puts people at higher risk for heart issues. We know that when people reach a certain BMI, they are at higher risk for cancer, diabetes and other metabolic disorders, sleep apnea, and SO many other health issues. And here’s the thing, no one feels unhealthy until they feel unhealthy. It doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a slow transition so many people don’t realize how unfit they’ve become over time. It can happen to anyone. In today’s world, it is SO EASY to become overweight and unfit without realizing. In the past, humans were fit by default because of our lifestyles and the world we lived in. But what we SHOULD NOT DO is try to somehow explain that in fact being overweight is healthy or okay. It’s not. It’s a HUGE modern issue that needs to be addressed. Being active is great, but it’s not enough. It’s 80% diet 20% exercise, that’s why you can’t out-lift a bad diet.
@haz.fellie

@@jillianm8958 GIRL, YES. Thank you. Active does not equal healthy, skinny does not equal healthy, and obesity is NOT healthy. Say overweight "can be" healthy is dangerous, because it's absolutely false. There are going to be people here saying that health conditions can cause people to be overweight, but they touch such a small percentage of the population that it's a fallacy argument at this point. The obesity epidemic needs addressed, not accepted.

AFTER is best... stretching before actually has correlation with workout injuries... You want to warm the muscles up before a workout and get them ready for the stress they are about to undergo, stretching and relaxing the muscle fibers before a workout can lead to poor stability in the muscles themselves leading to injury. Not to say a little stretching beforehand is harmful and can be part of a warm-up but actual stretching is only beneficial AFTER a workout is complete and helps breakdown lactic acid that builds up during the workout. Lactic acid is responsible for the "sore" feeling you have 2 days after your workout.

@@novinski0g513 I have played netball for 7 years and we always stretch before hand. It stretches out your muscles and helps get to u warmed up. In netball at least, we run a lot and stretching before hand makes it feel a lot easier and less stiff. Stretching after is good too, but less important in my opinion. Stretching after helps you avoid pains of course, stretching before helps you prevent serious injuries, especially in sport.

Yoga shouldnt be a supplement for actual exercise... like technically yeah it is exercise I guess, but on days I do yoga I still go for a run. It should be added on but not used as a supplement. You cant expect to be fit by doing yoga alone.

Hi, to everyone insulting these girls for their particular weights, remember that you don't know what they're going through. These women could have hormonal issues, chronic illnesses, struggles with other health problems, or even just a slow metabolism. I'm chronically ill, I have PCOS. That means it's very easy for me to be overweight and extremely difficult for me to lose it in healthy ways. Its a hard thing for me to deal with, and I'm trying to change my mindset about myself and my body. These girls are extremely brave.

Same except the first and second girls. No offense but the overweight girls don't look like they exercise. If they did they would look healthier, unless they just don't eat right, but it's gotta be a combo of both. They're beautiful ladies but most of them aren't healthy.

I'm so sick of comments saying that because of their shape or their size they mustn't exercising. You don't have to be or want to be skinny for doing it. Lots of people do it also because they like it or for being healthy. Also, it's like saying to someone who's going to gym that he has to loose weight... that's the point
@redd4426
