The pressure on women to do it all and have it all is intense… but it comes with a cost. Women in their early 20s are suffering burnout with doctors seeing increasing rates of depression, anxiety and adrenal fatigue. We talk to women who’ve hit that point of exhaustion, and find out from the experts what’s going on.

My heart goes out to these women! I hit the wall at 42. Now still taking time to recover from fatigue, chronic pain, neurological issues etc. I look fine, but feel like hell. Can't work at the moment, so have a new fear of outliving my saving.

I feel like women literally signed their death warrant. They only advertised the glamour of working not the downsides.

I'm a woman in my 40's with no children but I worked in a very demanding job for almost 3 years. I resigned mostly due to burnout, and I'm still recovering with no idea of when I'll be fully recovered. So for me it's one foot in front of the other and one day at a time.

My burnouts come from having ASD and I think a lot of neurotypical people ignore it or dismiss it as negative or bad attitude, so that encourages other people to see that behaviour as rude. I hate it when people do it because I don't choose to have a function-based learning disability. I was born with it and no one has the right to tell me how to live my life. I got so much from this video. 👍👍

I really do think the ginger woman is on the spectrum. When she was at her office desk, she was really overwhelmed already. That's a telltale sign of sensory overload. I'm on the spectrum and I cannot work in an office with the fluorescent lighting- it becomes too overwhelming for me to focus. Sadly constant anxiety and panic attacks are common with ASD as you know.

Good vid Thanks for posting I am perplexed though.... the gal didn’t go into detail into what was truly bothering her underneath it all..... just that it was “negative thoughts and anxiety”.... Also, the speakers did not address that as well. Everyone focused on the symptoms..... not the cause. I am lead to believe that early trauma is the cause of all this.... not “working hard” This assessment is based on her admission that at 12 she developed an issue... followed by panic attacks. Panic attacks are mostly the result of buried trauma. There is more to peoples stories that experience burnout I could be wrong it’s just another perspective

Hi there, thank you for your message. 2 years ago I suffered a mental breakdown/burnout and was hospitalized for near suicide. It was from being over worked and heart broken. I am 29 now. Can I fully recover? Thank you. I am seeing a phsycologist and phsyciatrist, just terrified about going back into work

Video doesn't live up to the hook. Where are the mothers in this video? Women with children can't just stop and put on makeup, go get yoga and therapy all day.

if you dont want stress. then dont go feminism route. believe me. just do like old woman do.
@Jdjustsaying

Muhammad Rifana women can be old fashioned and still suffer burnout because of the stress of looking after everyone else and feeling undervalued. It is not a simple problem and won’t be solved with simple answers.

Muhammad Rifana, I don’t agree with your recipe for women’s happiness. Women have suffered a lot in the past when they didn’t have any rights. It was just a silent pain because they were unable to express how they felt because men had all the power and status.
