Yeah I call it a split. I just make 2 assumptions (usually 1 ‘poor victim’ & 1 ‘annoying loser’) they don’t like and let them sort it out. Say They do something dismissive. Then I just assume “oh you must be socially uncalibrated” or “oh I see, you weren’t raised properly”. I don’t need to say any of it. Just act on that assumption & she’ll naturally pick up on it. I think it’s a double edge sword that’s very hard to balance. although he says boundaries are a turn off you do need boundaries. When you express them verbally and ask her to do or not to do something it’s when it comes across as if you’re trying to control. In my opinion what works best is controlling your behaviour, level of affection, and investment based on her actions, and let her naturally figure out how to please you (assuming she wants). If her ex talks to her I’d see how she reacts, more often than not she’ll reject him naturally. If she wants to reconnect with him just walk away, you can say that if she reconnects with him you’re going to walk away, but asking her not to have a conversation with him is just going to lead her doing it behind your back and getting cheated on either way. Just control what you do and how much you chose to invest based on her actions, not what she does. I’ve done this mistake 100 times. it’s easier to screen out 1000 girls and find one that naturally fits you and wants to behave how you want, than trying to get 1 girl to drop 1 guy friend

Interesting. As a man who gets plenty of woman chasing me, I would clarify - acting controlling or expressing your interest (in terms of don't have guy friends, don't dress that way etc) is not a problem for me. They happily comply because it is well known I will cut them off and replace them the next day if they violate my boundaries on certain things. When you have options and they know it, life is easier. I think a lot of what you say about men vs women is half correct. The true dichotomy is actually high vs low SMV. A man with high SMV can act like the women you describe. And I see lower SMV woman act like the men you describe. So maybe frame your points as SMV and power dynamics as opposed to men vs women. Just my take.

Second point: nowadays women have such abundance of options, that any efforts from you side towards "attracting" a women do not matter. There is always a dude that is taller, more jacked, wealthier, funnier than you in her real or imaginable (which is the same) environment. Therefore, any second you spent to any particular women is wasted. The only time and efforts that pay off are: 1) Self-improvement and self-care 2) Increasing your exposure and making it better Briefly speaking: any girl that is not actively chasing you is not worth any material/time/emotional investments. I think there are different rules for short term dating vs long term dating. In a serious relationship if you can make her to come to the conclusion that there is no friendship between a man and a woman you lower the chances of her sleeping with another man. With everything there are nuances, like if you are an alchoholic chances you drink increase if you are in a bar. Looking insecure ofc is the last thing you'd want.

Two sides in this matter. I personally think there should be some balance. You should not be controlling, but you should have your boundaries. If she does not respect them - okay, you move on to the next girl. But if you show no boundaries at all - yes that is attractive in a beginning, but how to make such relationship last long, like 10 years? if you never showed any boundaries that you won't wife up a girl that is constantly chatting with other guys, how she would know that it is not okay? And if you never showed this in the beginning, it would be bad if you try to show this later on - frame would break. And the attraction that is present in the beginning would never be the same in LTR, when you are a family - so you can't count on it alone. By the way, some girls I know - they don't even understand what is wrong and what is right - and they even ask for guidence if they like you - like asking "is it okay if I do this" or "what do you think of this guy/girl behaiviour" - just to know what are your boundaries to not cross them. You should be a somewhat father figure for them, and fathers do care about their kids, they don't say - oooh, do what you want, I don't care.
