Difference between chapped lips and healthy colored packed lips. At least that has been my experience. 50 crappy lipsticks for $1.00 each, or two great quality lipsticks for $24 each one.

The problem is you DON'T know it will be good quality. I just recently bought a new Chanel lipstick and a Tom Ford lipstick and I am, to say the least, less than impressed with the texture and pigmentation. I am more impressed by L'oreal's new lipstick and that is WAY more affordable. When people say you are paying for the name, that is what they mean. You aren't paying for quality, you are just paying because some fancy designer slapped their name on it.

inge. I used to buy and use Wet n Wild make up and nail stuff when I was like 10-12 in the 80s and it cost a dollar or do back then too. Nowdays I prefer more mid range priced stuff unless I am low on money then I get it still, but even if the colors are nice, Wet n Wild and most cheaper brands the make up does not last or stay on well, smears or is gone within an hour or two, thats the difference.

Wet n Wild dark wine is my go-to. It is my favorite lipstick ever! The red is such a nice color. It is so easy to just rub in some baby powder or something to matte it out. It is the best!

Wet n wild lipsticks are not bad, but I'd prefer to use them if I just want to tint my lips or something and then if I want to go bold, I'd use a Maybelline liquid lipstick 💄💋

Most I ever paid for a lipstick is 24$ for the Stilla all day liquid matte lipstick, in the shade Ricco. I received a sample in my beauty box for BirchBox I think? I loved the formula even though the color the sent me wasn't black girl friendly... I bought a more complimenting color and I love it. You can eat meals and not have to reapply, has little to no transfer, smells like candy/cherries, nice application (not to thick and greasy), dries quickly. As someone who only has the money to afford colourpop most of the time it was a good deal.

Personally I own lipstick in a range of prices, from Wet & Wild, Revlon, and Colorpop to MAC, Urban Decay etc. I even own one Tom Ford lipstick that I bought as a splurge for myself because I fell in love with the color and I could not find a true dupe for it anywhere else. Everybody has their preferences and all makeup really is in the end is artistic and personality expression but if wearing my $55 Tom Ford lipstick is what gives me my pick-me-up and helps make me feel good, than that is what matters and I feel as though I got my money's worth.

The only expensive make up I would buy is probably the lipsticks. Just bought a Lancome one, I do feel it smells less chemical, and way more moisturized than the cheap ones I bought in the past. I have dry and cracked lips in winter, a good lipstick really helps.

I think an excellent quality eyeshadow is worth the high price. The denser pigment and texture 'blend-ability' make a huge difference-at least for me. Some things I just won't skimp on! 😍

So if you wanna know the details keep reading: In total I bought 5 in different prices but the best one isn’t the most expensive . I tried Golden Rose (the cheaper) I remamber how excited I was like the colour seem to be perfect but it changes after you applied it (after 5 minutes without talking or eating )So dissapointing. Then was a ZOEVA (the most expensive) one that I bought online, colour is more plum but formula is great. Then was Nyx, it’s actually one of my fav but it’s more rasberry red. Next was MUA colour is more brown than red and extremly dry. And finally the one from maybelline that I bought on sale by chance. It’s from a colour sensional bold colection (in my country they are new)
