I've had women tell me they only date black men. I say "I am black." They say "No I mean Black Black." so yeah as a light skinned man I've encountered that colorist behavior many times, hell I've had people say I think I'm better than them because of my light skin. How is not finding some one of a dark or light complexion colorist? I had a friend in school, hispanic girl, was not attracted to anyone but dark skin black dudes. While every other girl wanted Lil Fizz or J-Boog, She wanted the dude from "Save the Last Dance." I don't see how not finding someone attractive is colorist. My best friend from second grade (we still in touch), her mom always said that her grandbabies was gonna be mixed because Shanny was gonna marry a hispanic or a white guy. When she found black guys attractive they were either biracial or just super light skinned. Her husband is white. My only preference was long as they got good hygiene and they are a decent human. I can't be with no stinky pizza face with 2 teeth. My husband got good hygiene is a wonderful man with a sexy smile.
