I am divorced. I spent more than a year daily teaching each of my kids to read at the second grade level before the began kindergarten. How to dress themselves, how to do math, tie shoes, how to swim, their prayers, and all the hundreds of little things a living parent does. Their mom left me for another man and spent years trashing and brainwashing my children to hate me. As they finished high school they began to notice every time they had a crisis I dropped everything and saved the day and their mom never lifted a finger, but only yelled at them for having problems. Now as a young adults and them living on their own, I am the first person they call for advice or help, and thank God, all admit that they were brainwashed with lies. As they have their own children they marvel about all the things I taught them and told them as children and tell me how hard it is for them to do for their children what I had done for them.

Funny thing is I went through this with my daughter. At 18 she told me stop acting like I was in her life all the time. Wow... she looked incredibly traumatized! - He seems to have a lot of videos about them being together in multiple places. How can that be possible with an "absent father"? - His point about female-therapists always somehow convincing women that their problems are the fault of their father is 100% correct. Also his distinction between medical care and "grief counseling" over breaking up with a boyfriend is likewise correct. - The list of financial assistance that he gave her as an adult is extensive, even recently supplementing her income when she lost her job. What's undeniable is she made accusations with no receipts provided. He has extensive pictures and other forms of documentation about what was really going on. It's perfectly obvious about what she pulled. She wanted more internet-clout to gain more viewers, so she did the typical modern-woman BS of claiming victimhood and shamelessly lied her ass off about her father to falsely portray herself as a victim. What she didn't count on was her father having enough spine to publicly call her out on it, despite other family-members trying to silence him from being able to defend himself. She's a disgusting liar, and if she was my daughter I'd cut her off and go no-contact with her for the remainder of my life.

Growing up I was raised not to be spoil (mind you I’m the only child) and I am happy to say, this is the best thing that has ever happened to me!!! I work and go to school at the same time, trying to get my career rolling!!!! This generation assume that everything is easy to get by asking their parents for money? My dad never paid a single penny for my upbringing. He was never with my mum in a relationship because he would get drunk and beat her. He was flakey and wouldnt show up to visit me when he said he would. He disappeared completely when i was 10 and i didnt see him again until i was 17. My dad never took me anywhere nice, we never even went on a trip together. The only place i would be able to see him was in the pub. He didnt ever get to know me as a person, he had so many issues. I found out when i saw him again at 17 that he had 7 other children all to different women, he didnt and couldnt support any of his children, he was too much into drinking. He died in 2020 at 52. All i wanted was a dad to protect me and to do family things with, this Maddie girl had her dad actually care about her. She has no idea what a bad father is, such an insult.

With the info provided, he seems like a great father. Maddy doesn't know how blessed she is to have a father who not only loves her but will still protect her despite how hurt he feels. And in front of the world to see and talk about. Idk how she even lied about not being close and such. I hope she reflects and sincerely apologizes to her dad. My twins grew up living with me and I always encouraged their relationship with their father. When they were 14 they asked me if they could live with dad not because they didn't want to live with me but because they have never experienced what it is like to live with dad and wanted to build a closer relationship with him. Not going to lie it was hard to let go and let them go live with dad but it was the right thing to do. Dad's are just as important as mom's in their lives. I don't regret letting them go live with dad and I definitely don't blame them or feel ill towards them. I'm happy for them and I still see them all the time anyways. I hope Maddie and her father continue to have a good relationship and things be well with them.

I'm sorry, if you're in college unless you're Doogie Houser MD, you're paying your own medical bills. I have six children 4 girls 2 boys, My oldest daughter dropped out of public school to do online school, graduated a year early, got a job at a retail store and saved her money to pay for nursing school. She's now doing clinicals and has her own apartment, bought her own first car etc. That's what happens when you raise strong children. The go on and become contributing members of society. I can't imagine raising a kid to adulthood and them having their hands out expecting other people to pay their way.

This kind man is mistaking an entitled narcissist, who’s communicating with him just enough to get whatever she wants, for a “great relationship” with his daughter. She uses him for money and as her own personal ego booster. He needs therapy so someone can teach him the difference between being loved and being used, and setting healthy boundaries for himself. As the mother of an adult daughter and 2 adult sons, i can relate to this father in so many ways. I appreciate him trying to protect his daughter for her perceived childhood trauma, but at some point, adult children have a choice.... Live your damn life and stop blaming your parents for your failure at adulthood, or do something crazy like this, and continue to be a miserable person.
