I think that people want to be made to feel good instead of the truth and I like the way you tell it like it is. Some people don't want to hear about hell but if they don't know about it how do you avoid it. Thank you for telling the truth no matter what. Hope yall have a great week.😊
@rayellejohnson99612 ай бұрын
By allowing people to be made to feel good also in turns allows them to understand they can come as they are into the churches and grow in their faith. The mention of the underworld alone can be seen as fear mongering and showing that people are so full of sin, and cannot change and strive for better everyday that, that they essentially must be threatened into obedience. By simply hearing the word and applying it to one’s life in a “made to feel good” way we can truly see that the Bible is for the best in cultivating the fruit of our spirit and therefore the future of our societies as well.
@kodwat21342 ай бұрын
I agree. The problem is when we have accepted Jesus as Lord of our lives but want to hear what feels good to us, not the truth which requires perseverance, love, walking away from the things that make us feel good but are against what God requires from us. It’s like want the word of the Lord to be a balm that makes us feel good, and then go ahead and live our lives the way we WANT, not obedience to the Word of God. When we pray and ask Him to help us live lives that glorify Him daily, He helps us. But that also requires us to obey Him, so that we don’t have “wicked unbelieving hearts” as warned by Paul in Hebrews 3.

I agree about what you said about some of us mainly the new breeds needs mentoring or someone to disciple them. Because I feel lost alot of the time and alone. But I'm told to go to God. I don't know the Word like I should, it's challenging and I can't decern the word. But I do understand that it's the only way to truly live for Christ and to know how to recognize faults teachers, churches and non christians that have malicious intent. I keep recognizing my desire to live a sanctified life but my daily prayer, my attempts to read but not receiving the message is frustrating me. So I trying to listen to sermons that will keep me drivin to separate my time to honor God and still I feel lacking and unsure. Lord Help Me!

I absolutely love this video, and is theological sound. but observing that Jackie Hill is the only one at the beginning of the headline is slightly weird. not because of her, but it was THE PERRYs that came together and founded this event. Where is Preston Perry's name? It's just interesting that I see his name no where to be found.

Can you lead if you haven’t ever really been lead by a mentor or someone that is more mature in faith? If your maturity comes from learning scripture only, is that sufficient?
@NoluthandoNqwelo1233 ай бұрын
Yes, the one person who is mentoring and leading you is the Holy Spirit. He is the first to disciple you before anyone else. I accepted Christ in January of last year, and since then, the Holy Spirit has been my Teacher. Through the intimate relationship I've been building with Him, He teaches me through Scripture, sermons, and podcasts like these. To this day, I don't have a mentor or someone in leadership over me, but God is still growing my capacity and entrusting me with more people to lead. My dependence on Christ has grown, so I read the Word more and pray more. It has been working out for me. Moses was a leader, and God was leading him. There is nothing wrong with having a leader or mentor, but God needs to be your Leader before anyone else. I hope I answered your question.
@kaybailey64423 ай бұрын
Yes, the Word of God is sufficient. John 14:27 Jesus says, when the Father sends the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, He will teach you everything and remind you of everything I told you. The Holy Spirit is the best teacher.
@whitneyguillory44183 ай бұрын
Thank you God for confirmation ❤
@justlikecarbon3 ай бұрын
It is possible, but it should not be the goal, nor should we use that possibility as an excuse to avoid being discipled by someone more mature in the faith. Otherwise we become hypocritical urging others to follow us as we follow Christ if we refuse to do the same. So it's important to remain open to being taught and discipled if and when the opportunity arises.

Hebrews 10:25 Says this is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together as some have formed a habit of doing. In fact, we come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning. Also Romans 10:4 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
