Hanna Hidalgo was scarily good and Miles and Citron also wonderful. Why did USC not put up more 3 points? It would have stretched the defence. Also, given the considerable pressure on Juju Watkins (I agree an amazing player), why was the offence so concentrated on her. I thought she could have given more assists. Did she lack some faith in her team mates?

Why did so much on USC's offence go through Juju when she was under such pressure? There were so many turnovers. I am not sure how many assists Juju had, but I felt there should have been more. I wanted USC to win on their home court but - I could be wrong - for me it seemed it was Juju and the rest whereas Notre Damn had more team chemistry.

Heckel is a freshman in her first start so it's undestandable but TVO was brung in to be the veteran guard on the team and so far hasn't lived up to it

Trojans had just one three the whole game…credit to ND’s defense though, Hidalgo looks so damn eager defensively, and I thought Citron did well being the primary defender on Juju. I hope USC can bounce back and look better come the UConn matchup in December. They have a lot more talent around Juju now, from Iriafen n TVO to 7 Freshmen. I hope the team chemistry comes sooner than later.

Ju ju gets all the publicity and has earned it , but the key to usc's success is the two transfers, one from Stanford and the other from Oregon state. Without them , usc will not go all the way , here , they have a shot. Both ladies had great coaching from Scott and Tara.

CC22 is in a class all by herself, Angel Reese will welcome JuJu to her class, she has problems with anything that's 5-10 ft from the basket, and don't even get me started on Angel's 3 pointers, or how she pats her stats by missing 1'-2' layups 3 or 4 times to get her rebounds, especially at the end of the game when the game is already decided, its garbage time and all the starters are out of the game, but you'll see Angel patting her stat, to get her double-double, so she can be relevant for another day

They are putting to much pressure on Juju. Her mins are to high, her 3pt shots only 17%, leads the team in fouls, leads in turnovers, it's not adding up. Unless they figure out a way to play as a team and not just rely on Juju, I'm afraid they are not going to have the season they desire. We'll see

USC was caught off guard by ND's aggressive approach. ND played with intensity like it's a final four game and that messed up USC's rhythm and momentum, almost throughout the whole game. The game was a bit too messy, lots of failed plays, forced & unforced turnovers, bad passes and a lot more missed shots as well. As good as Juju is, she had a bad field day especially in the first half but Kiki just played worse throughout the game. Overall, this was a great win for ND, they played better and wanted the victory more today. (I'd still take USC against them all day, everyday if it was a series though)

Wow, so many turnovers, so many ill-advised shots and telegraphed passes. For a #3 vs #6, this was a messy game. Hidalgo and Miles were solid for Notre Dame. Watkins eventually got her points, but her shooting and ball handling were sub-par, and for a projected #2 pick Iriafen was terrible. Entertaining in its way, but not well-played.

USC is in trouble!!! They only have three players making a significant contributions and one is out with an injury now. Marshall has regressed from last year. The transfer from Oregon isn’t as good as the freshman. Translation, they have no capable guards. JuJu is being double and triple teamed which is causing poor shot selections and turnovers. So, stop this crap about her being overrated!! The coaches actually failed her by not finding support from the portal. Kiki is a great addition but they really haven’t replaced the two guards from last year. Right now the best guard is freshman Heckel. Their only hope is for her to develop quickly into a capable guard and the transfer start playing like she did at Oregon. Maybe they are intimidated by JuJu and KiKi’s presence and the coach needs to have a come to Jesus meeting with the whole team!!!
