This was SO well done! That into, the music, the dramatic moments, building drama with the wooden figures, the way night time feels like night time and morning feels like morning. With no prior knowledge of Sodor Castle's story, the way he was established was entertainingly delicious to watch. The nostalgic-ly familiar air of the narration is phenomenal. You understand this universe so well. You understand Thomas. There has never been a time I have not watched your video and felt like a child watching the show for the first time, thinking (but more importantly feeling) it was a real place I could escape to. Every one of your videos exists in this realm of life, you can sense the universe breathing in its beautiful entirety. Life has been changing a lot, especially recently. I needed to feel that magic again, that escape. A centering breath of fresh air. Thank you. I am aware of how dramatic I sound in these comments haha, but I am truly grateful at how connected your videos make me feel to this endlessly special universe. Please, keep up the great work. Your art makes an impact that knows no bounds, to me and so many more.

I honestly thought that nothing would be able to top the first episode "Blowback" in this sage, but my word this was just... awe inspiring. Words cannot describe the sheer immense majesty of this project - truly a piece of work that the Awdrys themselves I'm sure would be touched by! Everything here is just so perfectly done: the sets are absolutely stunning and combine the perfect blend of TVS and RWS styles I think I've ever seen, a true joy and so well detailed I had to keep stopping the video to just take it all in. The models as well are truly fantastic and so well detailed - Wendell looks so incredible, and his face design is spot on that of his illustrations in the books whilst having that TVS charm. Sodor Castle also looks wonderful here, both in his extremely detailed grubby appearance and his gleaming paintwork at the end - I've always been a sucker for weathered engines in these series, they just breath an extra layer of life into them. The voice acting and score are just phenomenal: Luke Ryan is without a doubt the perfect pick for Wendell and I shall now never imagine him as sounding like anyone else! He gets that sense of a warm, relaxed and amiable worker that is content in his own little corner of the world that he keeps running smoothly. The score throughout the Midnight Goods truly took my breath away when paired with all of the visuals and sweeping shots - the sheer levels of what you have created here with your team will never cease to strike awe and wonder! The human models are also superbly done, especially in the office scene - the lighting and use of simple movements sparingly really gives it a beautiful storybook breathed to life feel that I simply adore. I truly cannot wait for the next entry, but I know however long it may take will be more than worth the wait. The sheer levels of detail, from the great sweeping landscapes to the smallest bits like the nameplates in the box and the driver adjusting his cap, its always what stands these works out from everything else! I also have so many buzzing questions of little background details seen too: who is the Class 03/04 shunter we see at Knapford yards? Is that a 9F by chance pulling the Midnight Goods? Well done indeed to you Rgydronen and everyone involved! You are all true credits to this fandom and we are very lucky to have you and the majestic works of art you create. In the words of everyone's favorite helicopter: "Well done: cheers, and keep up the good work!"
@rhydyronen Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind words, I sincerely appreciate it! :) To answer your question, the two locos you see in the flashback are indeed an 03 diesel shunter and a 9f; “visiting engines” you could call them. Hope this helps :)

Brilliant! I really like what this episode shows about The Fat Controller’s character. In 1958, the plans to dieselize would be fully underway. The Fat Contoller knows that steam on the mainland is in twilight (maybe even influenced by the events of Duck and the Diesel Engine), and he knows he can no longer rely on other works like Crewe to perform heavy repair. What better way to test out your new works by showing up BR and repairing one of their own. ;)
