For those who don't know the context, Diana used a magical artifact that grants wishes. She wished to bring back Steve, which is why Steve was brought back in this movie. Unfortunately, the artifact will take away something very precious in exchange for your wish. It is slowly but surely taking away Diana's godhood -- her powers, explaining why she's significantly weakened. Maxwell Lord (played by Pedro Pascal) wished himself to become the "wish-granting stone", so he can grant wishes to anyone. This is the reason Diana is after him.

Haven't you watched the whole movie? The wish she wanted from the magical stone which was reviving Steve Trevor came at the cost of her powers including her god-tier superhuman strength, similar to how Thor got depowered in his first movie after being banished to Earth and stripped of his powers by Odin. Like the latter, Wonder Woman still retained her entire physical composition like far denser and heavier mass than a regular human which still keeps her very physically strong to at least Captain America's level, explaining how Thor easily overpowered regular humans at the hospital and Wonder Woman to easily push aside trucks with a great deal of effort while being stripped of their powers. On that note, Wonder Woman still had practically superhuman strength from her raw physical composition left over but not god-like proportions that she posseses under normal conditions.

I love how there's no consistency in terms of her strength and durability. In one movie she takes a headbutt from a very pissed off superman, and looks merely annoyed by it, and here gun fire is enough to draw blood. Also she's strong enough to push a massive truck sideways down the road running at 50 mph, but has trouble pushing a truck driving down the highway away from her.

Wonder Woman is meant to be vulnerable to bullets, it's why she has to block them with the gauntlets or avoid them.
@MarceloSilva-kp7mc2 жыл бұрын
@@pyroGAMER23 actually she CAN resist a bullet, hurt but doesn't make her bleed, we saw that in the bank scene from snyder cut, when the guy start shotting in the hostages she got hit in the back but the bullet was reflected making her gasp in pain, the real reason why she looks weak on this scene is because bring Steve back took some of her powers away
@asazaki30262 жыл бұрын
wait did you not watch the movie? she is weak in this scene because she is becoming human because of the guy being there, they had to send him back because of that
@edmilsonfernandes74302 жыл бұрын
She's becoming human because of a wish she made to get her boyfriend back from the dead. That's why she's bleeding and losing her strength. It's supposed to be like that.
@pyroGAMER232 жыл бұрын
@@asazaki3026 No i didn't, it's comic book accurate that Wonder Woman couldn't just face tank bullets without blocking it. I figured Patty Jenkins was following this line of thinking because in the first movie she always deflects bullets.

People are so stupid on the comment section. Like y'all gotta do your research, the reason why WW 1984 was made the way it was, is cuz they are paying homage to Lynda Carter's WW series from the 70s and to Christopher Reeves Superman as well, and some old comic references too. That's why it looks cheesy and such. The movie is based on the 80's so it gonna have a hip hop kinda vibe to it, kinda hype. Compared to the first WW movie is a totally different era different time and mood, it was dark, moody, and sad time, obviously due to the war.

This movie had a 230 million $ production budget and looks like absolute crap. You can literally see the green screen and Gal Gadot's stunt double, grapping mannequins! To put this into perspective: Peter Jackson made the entire LotR trilogy, 3 epic movies, with that money! Denis Villeneuve's new Dune movie cost ''only'' 160 million $ ! The S.Korean Sci-Fi movie ''Space Sweepers'' only cost 20 million $ and the visuals look amazing there. Hell, James Cameron made ''Aliens'' with ''only'' 19 million $, back in the day!!

@@kianrangassamy8461 well no, it was also 3 movies, assuming each costs the same $93,000,000, in todays money is still only $145m, almost $1mill less, that's not factoring in the benefit technology would have these days as compared to 2001
