watching service dog videos like this help inspire and motivate me to work with my dog even when I don't feel like doing anything with my life ^^ Thank you!

Is it a service dog? Or do you mean you want to train it to be one? or just randomly train it? just asking out of curiosity btw, either way, best of luck to you with your dog :)

@@lailahepburnandmischka I want to train him to be my SD, we've come quite a long way with his training, and he loves to work, I just hate going out in public so I've kinda been falling behind on teaching him in public (I really don't like when people stare at me when I try to teach him his tasks) I've not taking him to any non-pet friendly places, he knows his tasks for the most part (there's still some I want to teach him and fine tune on) and I've done vest training with him (he loved it) but it's been too hot to have him wear it outside rn and he needs new boots that actually fit him so I can take him outside on hot days... motivation can be hard for me and so I often watch SD and dog training videos on youtube a lot, to help motivate me to get out and train him ^^ (Sorry that was pretty long lol...)

@@ItzCornucopia haha don't worry about your reply being long, I'm the queen of looooooong replies lol I was the same with my dog, it's defo hard to start going places to train when you're scared of going places to begin with, but you'll get there in the end, just keep trying, even if it takes a year to make the progress someone else would make in 2 months, it's still PROGRESS :) My dog just turned 3, he's been 'trained' for a long time in that he was task trained and coming places without any problems, but he's STILL got stuff to work on, my issues, covid, and dogs attacking him set us back again and again, I gave up a few times but thankfully I always decided to try again :) and this is a 9lb chihuahua I'm talking about, he'll be replaced in the next year with more appropriately sized dog and ill have to start all over again lol but I'm guna do it, and you can do it too :)

@@lailahepburnandmischka Thank you so much for such positive feedback! ^^ Seriously, thank you! My dog just turned two, and I didn't adopt him till he was 16 months old (he was kinda a rescue who was kept in a kennel a lot) so I've had to work on all his training from square one (he had NO training at all) and he wasn't socialized (thankfully he's pretty friendly in public despite that) he and I have been learning a lot together as he's my first dog ever, he's also and amazing blessing for me and one of the main reasons I ever get out in the first place ^^ Also! Aggressive dogs going after your dog is the worst! My doggo (he's an australian shepherd) has been attacked and lunged at by lots of aggressive dogs, and he now gets scared whenever a dog lunges or growls at him... so that's also one of the obstacles we have to work through as well. but other than that he's pretty great and once he gets his mind in the work zone he really gets in the zone XD I wish you the best when you have to start training up a new dog! Also, again thank you for your kind words!! ^^

@@ItzCornucopia yeh people not controlling their dogs is a massive problem :( thank you for your kind words also :) Also, even though your dog had a late start, I bet he'll have a better bond with you cuz you're the first one to give him a decent life :)

I’m currently training a service dog of my own. I don’t mind sharing why. I have severe vertigo. My whole body goes numb. The room spins and the worst it has ever been was when my body was numb and I was dizzy but the room was black. I couldn’t see anything. I also have anxiety when In public places. As well as a knee condition that can make it challenging to even walk at times. My heart does also tend to beat very quickly making me dizzy, light headed, and sick. And my service dog helps me! She does DPT, for those who didn’t know DPT (deep pressure therapy) is where the dog lays across my lap or stomach. And uses body heat and body weight to help me with my disability’s. I have found that DPT helps me on a daily in such an amazing way! To sum up her tasks she’s in training for I’ll tell you. Mobility assistance, DPT, anxiety alert and response, and medical response. She’s learning to alert me to vertigo and heart rate but I’m still trying to figure out how exactly to do that. Service dogs are amazing. They help people be more conformable and confident living with their disabilities! Please don’t fake service dogs. It’s very wrong. I understand you love your furry friend and always want them to be with you. But if your dog is untrained, you risk the dog suffering injuries as well as his or her human! It’s purely selfish to risk another’s life just because you would like your dog with you. She is truly my best friend. I don’t know what id do without her. Have a blessed day!!!!

Love your videos!! I am looking at getting a cb handle for my service dog. What shops do you recommend getting from? I have a StylishPupCo harness but it does not have a cb handle or attachments.

What was your friend cosplaying as she looks like a character from Skyrim? I had a friend this weekend come over and when I told him SD’s aren’t covered by insurance he was shocked.
