I do Security and bodyguard work. But im all self taught. I have had many clients through word of mouth. Thats how i got alot of work. Now im working on getting my guard card so i can be fully legit. 😊 So i guess yku can say im a civilian guard.

i always thought body guards first had to go through the army to even qualify to become a body guard. i guess not

I don't really think the Army gives you too much benefit for being a body guard. It looks good on the CV but really most of what they are doing is risk management. I reckon former police officers would be more suitable candidates as they have a good understanding of what they can and cannot legally do. After that you just teach them risk management and a handful of extra things specific to bodyguarding.

Which is why I think that's it's a reality show with stereotyped gender roles. (a) Physically weak and can't read a map but good organizer and leader. (b) Can do a drill with a japanese sword (well trained) but can't read a map.

@@MrAnanthaP Yes, I know. Thank you. But because they're too young, the company-owner shouldn't be surprised when only one makes it. He spends time and money on people who aren't up to this yet. Also too much demanded in too little time. The ones who didn't make it may feel like they failed, although that isn't true. To me that's a bad and unneccessary outcome.

@@truebluewonderful1139 IMO, it's a reality show nothing else. Otherwise, why else would he say the first guy (P.Hd candidate) knows taikwondo when it was clear that he was physically unfit. I mean, he was selected only for the optics. Also, he must be having at least one more school - for camera placement and surveillance. Otherwise how could he get so many "hidden" cameras. The first kidnapping ... Sure, that it's a reality show.

@@adamngindo2811 No school can officially certify you as a bodyguard because there are no official standards to become a bodyguard. Do your due diligence and research each program that provides bodyguard courses.
