When this was released by the Shadows, it just blew me away - it still brings tears to my eyes at 76. We will never see the like of musicians such as the wonderful Jet Harris again. Yes, he had his demons, but it never affected his talent as a musician. It’s just all wonderful happy memories.

Saw Jet and Tony top of the bill at The Winter Gdns Margate (my home town) at the beginning of June 1963 at the height of their career together as a duo. Can say by a country mile the best live performance of that era I ever saw (I was 13 years old) Like a lot of these theatres loads of the Stars of that era performed there, I was lucky my Mum took me to see them all. A few weeks later another Group climbing the fame ladder appeared (for a weeks stint) The Beatles, support act Billy J Kramer and The Dakotas, a brilliant show, Beatlemania was in full swing. But for me this did not come nearJet and Tonys performance, the pair of them having time for everyone later after the show..As with the Beatles when it was logisticaly possible owing to the almost mass hysteria. Great Times......Will never be seen again.

The Shadows?

Where was the orchestra? Jet Harris was the base player for The Shadows. Here we have two base guitarists. Why? The true lead guitarist here is the man on the extreme right of the screen. Jet seems to play the base. Why they would need two base guitarists is beyond me.
