There was a guy a little while ago that 3D printed a bunch of 22 single shots and bought them to a gun buy back and bankrupted them. There was another who went to Home Depot and made around 10 slam fire shotguns with stocks for about 5 dollars each and turned them in for like 100 each.

Gonna keep happening too til the people running them realize that real criminals aren't trading their illegal firearms in for a gift card or whatever smh. The only people who go to those are people who have cheap Saturday night specials or old hunting rifles/shotguns they don't want anymore and people who intentionally make zip guns knowing they'll be able to use that money to just go buy a real firearm haha! Anybody who thinks that buy backs are effective don't understand criminals, nobody in the hood running a trap house or corner cares about that few hundred dollars when they can make a couple grand a day as long as they have the ability to protect their "business" ie a group of likeminded people all carrying firearms 🤦

Can be pretty dangerous if you add too much Match powder into the bullets i learned myself the hard way i tried making miniature cannon with just a pipe closed on one side and held with pliers on the closed side while stuffing inside as much powder as i could het along with some tissue wadding and a nail inside as the projectile to fire i simply placed under the barrel a lighter with open flame until the end of the barrel where the powder was sitting in got hot enough to ignite the match powder but when it did get hot enough to ignite the whole thing exploded so loud my right ear was ringing for a whole month and i got shrapnel from the barrel wich got mushroomed into my fingers luckily no life threatening injuries occurred and the shrapnel did nothing more than soft tissue damage into my fingers this was all a year ago and now im all good but ever since that happened i stick with spud guns no more gunpowder weapon manufacturing for me only spud guns from now on much more safer

@@nightfog1722 that's because u made a cannon I made a spud gun not cannon I assume since u made a cannon u have used PVC pipes for the barrel and chamber if so there is a risk of it damaging you severely even killing you if the thing explodes since PVC shards will be all over you while what I made was a simple spud hunting rifle/gun wich uses blowgun steel darts to shoot I can tell you how i made it using nothing but scrap rubbish materials and 1 dollar glue the chamber I made with a small bottle of water I took the cap drilled a hole through the cap and than I placed the ppc plastic water pipe inside the cap I drilled a hole into afterwards I glued it so that it seals any air socket and holds it tight this way all I had to do to reload was simply unscrew the cap with barrel inside and than place a blowgun dart inside the barrel screw the cap back tightly and than shoot for the trigger I used lighter piezo mechanism from a broken lighter I had laying around I basically melted a small hole in the back of the bottle glued the piezo mechanism and than after letting the glue dry out for 24 hours I could use it safely the gun never exploded or anything later on I also glued a simple sighting system for better accuracy and this little rubbish gun could shoot a blowgun dart 2-3 inches deep into trees for around 20 feet away from the target it was dead accurate especially when there was no wind further away you had to aim above the target with iron sight in order to hit it gotta say this was the craziest thing I've ever done I basically made a deadly hunting firearm at home using nothing but rubbish materials anyone can get access to unless they're in jail btw for the length of the pipe I used as barrel it was about slightly more than 2 handspan long btw the only risk of explosion in this version is only at the places where you applied Glue since that's the weakest spot that's where the thing risk exploding the most that's about it

It's the rubberband for me... It looks old and even if it was new, the square metal plunger keeps raking over it, so eventually it will rip - possibly when loaded, but not aimed at target yet.

I recommend you use a rebar and drill a hole in it that’s how I made mine and also I used steel as the frame because it could explode and send wood shrapnels so be safe

That thing in the video is technically a firearm. An air gun without a gas cartridge has a compressed spring that when released pushes a piston that pushes and compresses air that will push the pellet out.

Not one person has asked at what distance from muzzle ( end of barrel) to cans ? And yes to those who do not know be careful on the amount of match head put in because of blowback it can be just as dangerous on the back end, but over nice job on the work, proves that you can build anything if you put your mind to it !

Not a beauty, but therefore easy enough, anyone should be able to copy that. Also very cheap. Coolest thing is, that you also made your own Ammo for it. This is just a dangerous toy, but with a bigger caliber, it could work as defensive weapon. But I would recommend round balls for better accuracy. The mechanism reminds me of an desoldering vacuum pump. Maybe could be useful as triggermechanism too.

Lemme explain the design. First the trigger is pulled releasing a springloaded piston which hits the percussion cap of the bullet. Second the friction between the powder and the end of the percussion cap lights the powder causing a small explosion which realeses the bullet it self and. Hey presto!

Do these work with regular matches or do you need strike anywhere matches? We used to use the white tips on camping matches for the detonator in rim fire cartridges
