The music in this show is some of my favorite ever... But looking at the choreography and set design, I can see why it didn't last long on Broadway.

This is my first time watching this show, but so far it looks great! Good music, lots of humor, a pretty decent plot, ESP. Considering the book has very little usuable plot to begin with

I like this musical version because Jack, El Gato, The Caterpillar, and the White Rabbit join Alice to save her daughter. Best musical I ever seen!

I also saw this two weeks ago in Edinburgh and I thought it was good too. Mind you the story is somewhat different from home this story is. The mad hatter was played totally different. But I did enjoy the music to the show.

Did you enjoy it? I thought it was missing lots of things from this production - like the costumes, the set, the slick dance moves. The singing was good, and Rachael Wooding was an amazing Alice, but it just wasn't slick at all.

I wish I could hear Janet sing the version of this song that ended up in the show by the time it closed.

Thank you for being possibly the only person with any sense on this thread. I am astonished there are people who think this is good even at best!! Equally shocked people keep funding Wildhorn.....this needs more than a little work. I am SO angry someone turned Alice in Wonderland into this debacle!! And I would guess the kids who enjoyed this are also the kind of people who are fans of Taylor Swift with the musical/story telling nonsense this show is.

Anyone else mad that this show closed after a month on Broadway? I mean, really. Just by listening to the cast recording, I had a feeling it had potential! >:(

All right, I'm getting very tired of reading all of the conspiracy theories. Critics cannot close a show. Word of mouth is what truly closes a show. I've never listened to a critic once in my life, but this one single song is the only place I've actually felt anything other than muddle. What everyone's saying here and claiming the critcs weren't keen enough to notice is how much "potential" this show has. Nearly every review I've read in the past 5 minutes claimed it had potential!

What a final number. I love this song so much. I really hope they get this cast back together and re-do this show, fixing the issues. This show could have been so damn fantastic.

I don't think there's enough of mad Hatness in this part. Like, they're on the border of her world, the looking glass land, but it doesn't look anything like the other side of the glass and it's not as gothic as the tea party. it needs more of the Mad Hat touch!

I liked that Alice was the take charge, figure out the plan, try to save everyone type. then act two comes and she gets captured and the guys end up saving her. She become the standard damsel in distress. Booo.

Sorry, hate to be nitpicky... actually I don't care. But nowhere does it state that Alice and Jack are divorced. Chloe asks Edwina in part one if they are divorced, and she neither confirms nor denies it. All it states is that Jack's pride is hurt by the fact that Alice is employed and he is not. They are just separated, not divorced, meaning that there is no reason why they can't get back together.

libsterization I think what it is, Jack and Alice are planning on getting a divorce and need to live away from each other.

@darthvalor07 I would die to see this in London's west end, I could never afford to fly to America and go to Broadway, but sadly it has been replaced by things like Spiderman-the musical and other crap.

Cont. Potential does not a great show make! Potential does not even a GOOD show make!!! This show COULD have been something amazing, but it was not. The book needed serious work, the incredibly forced Alice/Mad Hatter twist that never really was a twist was insipid beyond belief, the generally unflattering and unwhimsical costumes, and the very predictable plot-lines. Also, the message being that a woman who becomes divorced clearly has lost sight of what is really important, and should...

Why don't Wildhorn's musicals success in Broadway? This was taken down, Dracula was mutilated, Monte Cristo I think hasn't even been there. Most successful that I know is Jekyll & Hyde and even that they botched with David Hasselhoff. Is Wildhord having an affair with all of the critigue's wifes or something?

Cont. ... sacrifice her own self-worth and get back together with the man she divorced to keep the family together. Cuz, y'know, that's what getting to understand who you truly are really means, right? Clinging onto someone else that you divorced most likely FOR A REASON because you can't stand on your own cuz yer a woman. While this show boasts an INCREDIBLY TALENTED cast (I seriously love them all to death!!!) the show itself is mediocre at best.
