Lazareth LMV 496 - Transforming Jet Hover Bike

This is the Lazareth LMV 496, which the world’s first transforming flying electric motorbike.
Lazareth have a jet engine in the hub of each wheel, and hydraulic actuators that tilt the four wheels out and up, forming a configuration something like a jet-powered hoverbike.
In it’s normal bike form, it is certified to ride on the road, just like the LMV847 Quad bike.
But the main difference between the 2 bikes is, at a press of a button the bike starts it’s transformation. Firstly 2 centre stands come down to support the weight of the bike.
Then each wheel tilts up, so the jet engines in the hubs are now facing down, and after waiting about 60 seconds for the jets to pre-heat, you can lift off.
The Lazareth team will be bringing the Hover Bike, to Gitex computer & electronics trade show in Dubai in October 2019, and will launch pre-orders there at a price of €496,000 euro or about $560,000 US Dollars.
It may be impractical, and it may never fly in the skies, but Lazareth got a full size prototype in the air that's also road-certified, so at least it’s real and works.

@@stephenthorpe8287 HArrier jet is a VTOL (Vertical take off and lift) just like the bike... but there's quite a bit of difference in size... and you can ride the harrier jet on the ground through traffic... so no, it hasn't been done before. And no, the Harrier Jump jets do not have "one jet engine" that'd be impossible. You need at least two that are rotatable for stability.

I feel that it would be much easier to control if the jets stayed at a static thrust, and use thrust vectoring nozzles to control the output of each engine. This would be a much more accurate and faster way to control the thrust output.

I am doubtful about flight stability a drone depends on instantaneous thrust changes for stability. I just think turbine engines are to slow to react and deliver the minute thrust changes needed. I hope I'm wrong because it really looks cool.

I think the jet engines are cool, but they have lag, unlike an electric quadcopter that has nearly instantaneous tourq. The lag makes stability and precision movements very difficult.
