Hello peanut gallery! I have a new block for you today. We are making a wonky striped block using fusing as a foundation piece. This makes top stitching a breeze! This is the fusing I used: fave.co/2DIhP2l Here is the raw edge series I did previously: tinyurl.com/ybhom7s2 ----- Visit me on Patreon where I'm UNcensored!!! www.patreon.com/darlenemichaud ----- Join my Peanut Gallery facebook group! facebook.com/groups/514101078926416/

Love the tote bag idea. You could use the whole width of the fusing and make a beautiful and sturdy shopper.

What a great way to do this! I love your method. I won't be able to get the bargain interfacing stuff as I am in the UK. Never mind I already have a load of it, along with many scraps to use. It seems to me to be a great way to use up scraps. Many thanks for showing this to us all!

Well that was cool! I didn't order the bolt when you ordered yours. I was afraid that it would be too thin for foundation piecing. But you proved me wrong, and I'm so glad. Now I need to get some too! Thanks for making this video and showing how simple making blocks can be. :-) ♥

Hi, I have a couple of questions...would you ever use water-soluble fusing to help make the quilt less stiff? I can see, like you said in the video, using this method for a tote or something that needs more structure. What I'm thinking of trying is to have the fusing to stabilize the pieces of fabric and then wash the fusing out of it to remove the stiffness after sewing the blocks together. OR should I rinse it out block by block? I'm loving your videos - I have a whole list of plans for the fabric I had already and now for the fabric I bought during your last frenzy, too. :)

Darlene Thanks for keeping this open to allow for a few quick questions. I tried this technique last night and I love it! But I think I may have done something wrong as I got a couple of strips with bubbles in them. Should I be turning the strips the opposite direction on every other row? Will this help? This was just a brain fart question. LOL Will the fabric become soft after quilting a blanket? Thank you Ma'am.

I am sorry, I ordered one that was used for place mats. My mistake. I wanted something more sturdy . Thanks for the info.

Would that actually make your quilt a little heavier and warmer. I'm making a quilt for my best friend who's 54 and sleeps with the one he's has since he was 17. He want thick and heavy. Batting just doesn't do it. TIA
